The picture quality is outstanding. There is a lot of light here! There is a problem with some of these brand monitors, where the led power light will not turn off when the battery is attached for some reason. Even though it's made of plastic, it's of good quality. Field monitors usually do not have this feature so you cannot listen to your audio playback via your camera speaker when the monitor is active. I have noticed, however, that when I connect this to my camera, there is escalating high pitched screeching sound that comes from the built-in speaker. There is no way to adjust the speakers in the monitor's There is always a volume set in the factory, and the speaker is always on! In addition to using different HDMI cables, muted the microphone on the camera, and switched on and off the power several times, this has not helped. Despite having a rare feature on a field monitor that seems like a no-brainer, Amazon has sent the monitor back for a refund since its poor implementation seems like an afterthought. What a disappointment!.
My experience with the durability of this device, as I already smacked it into a few objects while filming a concert.
I originally encountered audio issues, as I could not turn off the audio. All issues were resolved by sending the seller an email with a detailed explanation of the instructions that were read incorrectly. This is a really nice On the main screen, you can use the "volume up" and "volume down" buttons to change the volume.
Irrespective of the direct sunlight, this light is extremely brilliant! We had a few conversations prior to buying and I ultimately chose the ultra bright model FW279 over the FW279. A lot of their accessories are good, and I plan on buying a second monitor from them and a bunch of their accessories. Their customer support is very helpful and they have now become a brand I trust. Among the special features of this field monitor is the extraordinary performance in direct sunlight that no other monitor in this price range offers. As a result of the extreme brightness of the screen outside, filming scenes under sunlight is easy. Compare the LCD screen on the 4K Panasonic GH4 with the one on the Feelworld FW279 shown in the attached photos on this review, and you'll see the difference. With the GH4's LCD screen, sunlight can make it very dim, but with the Feelworld display, the screen stays brighter and this will really help you when you need to shoot outdoor scenes. Thank you Feelworld once again for answering all my questions, for your excellent service, and for providing such an amazing product at such a low price. You have gained a customer for life! Also, when you record on your camera with the monitor connected, you should mute the audio! A recording of an echo will be made if not. Afterward, you can increase the volume to hear the audio if you want to watch the video on the monitor after you have recorded it. Turn the monitor's volume all the way down, then press record.
This monitor has a brightness of 2200 nits, which is far brighter than my previous monitor (the Blackmagic VideoAssist) with which I have shot 3 films, allowing me to focus and see the frame clearly (without having to use a shade or anything). It doesn't have many features (other manufacturers make them, but at a much greater price) like touch screens or LUTs, but I don't need those, as I can trigger them from the camera, or not bother with them at all (my preference). Priced at a great price, the picture quality is terrific, and the brightness, well, it just kills anything else on the market (and they're all twice the price or higher). You should run and grab a guitar if you're a one man band If you are planning on shooting a gun or are shooting outdoors, this is a REALLY good monitor.
I recently received my Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K, which has an extremely thin screen with only 450 nits, and I found that the competing monitor I ordered before this one did not hold up to it The article about Freeworlds's Ultra bright 2200 nit monitor captured my attention. Since the price was cheaper, I decided to jump on the opportunity, ordered it from Amazon, and it was delivered the next day. In addition to a bright and clear screen, the mounting hotshoe adapter was the perfect size for mounting on top of my cinema rig and was also much better built than any other monitor in its category On my Black Magic, I have an angular screen. Moreover, it includes a mini HDMI to HDMI, but I have not used it, since my camera connects to HDMI via HDMI. There is only one downside, which is that doesn't come with a battery or barrel style AC adapter. Thus, you need a Canon style E6 battery on the back to fit on the included battery mount, as well as a However, the tool is still a useful addition to my toolkit despite that slight setback. Focus peaking is one example where all the features are native to the application and do not need any configuration to work. I find the built-in speaker to be a nice touch, but an unnecessary addition. It would be nice if they included a battery instead, but it doesn't detract from the overall appearance This is a good option for those who are on a tight budget, but want a bright external monitor.
