Questions & Answers
There's no way of knowing how many you can stuff into each envelope. I've got a few in each, but there's always room for more. At the moment, I'm laying them flat.
The acid-free envelopes that come with the box are described as such in the Amazon product description. The envelopes are made of white paper. I went straight to Print File Archival Storage and ordered sturdier acid-free envelopes in a cream color. They're great for storing photos for a long time and are less likely to tear.

On Amazon, you can find the best 3x5 or 4x6 photo storage box. These are, without a doubt, the best photo storage boxes on Amazon. Most shoebox style boxes aren't tall enough to hold 4x6 photo envelopes upright, but these boxes add an inch, as shown in the photo, so you can stuff them full of them. The box is extremely durable, with hardened edges that prevent dents. Our only criticism is that the included photo envelopes are "okay" rather than "great," but finding good "stiff" photo envelopes for 3x5 and 4x6 photos is nearly impossible. These boxes are extremely expensive, almost absurdly so, but you may never need to purchase another photo box after this.
I purchased one of these boxes from a store many years ago. It was fantastic, to say the least! Sturdy and well-made I later needed three more, but I couldn't recall where I bought the first one, and there is no company name (or, indeed, any printing at all) anywhere on the box. br>br>I later needed three more, but I couldn't remember where I bought the first one, and there is no company name (or, indeed, any printing at all) anywhere on the box. As a result, I didn't know who created it. br>br>I also purchased some archival storage boxes from a different manufacturer. They appeared to be the same, but they were frayed and poorly constructed. I went with a different firm this time. The cardboard top was ripped and the metal fittings on the corners broke. Finally - finally! I was able to track down Lineco once more. Accept no less expensive storage boxes. br>br> Lineco is one of the best companies I've ever worked with. They produce a fantastic product, and if I had to, I would pay twice as much for the same box. br>br>One piece of advice for Lineco: Your company name should be printed or stamped on your products in some way.
So far, it's working well and holding a lot more than I expected.
