Yes, the FJ-series is a hybrid of the FJ- and the RT speedlites can be used with the X2m Trigger.
Although it does not yet have complete compatibility with that Canon model, that does not rule out the possibility of some compatibility. It'll probably work in all modes, but at the very least in manual.
No, it's not the case. It's made of a tough plastic material. These strobes are really cool.

The bag is of excellent quality and has plenty of storage space. Gels and barn doors are examples of this.
What can I say, these lights are damn near perfect; they're portable, the battery lasted 4 hours of shooting (with the modeling lamp on) and still had half a charge left at the end, and they're high-speed sync capable. These lights were recommended to me by a friend, and I'm so grateful.
The strobes are particularly impressive.

I've been using the Westcott FJ400s for a few months now and I'm in love with them. They're light, easy to use, and very consistent, and I love that the FJ-series is made in the United States. Most cameras are compatible with the X2m Trigger, which can also fire my speedlites. They're simple to put together and transport. When combined with the modifiers from Westcott's arsenal - It is impossible to make a mistake.
There are a lot of accessory options, and the size and portability make these a no-brainer. The transmitter is also excellent, and it works with virtually all camera models.
