Questions & Answers
It's not necessary to use it on the 600 because it already has a bowens mount.
It all comes down to your lighting goals and requirements, particularly the height of the light you want to use.
Yes, but make sure the S bracket you're looking at is the most recent version. The bottom of the 300 fits into a round area created by the bottom coming out. It's a little snug, but it works.

This is a significant improvement over the original godox S-model. bracket. The materials are of much higher quality, and it's also much more versatile, thanks to the fact that it can accommodate larger flash heads. Even if you don't have a larger flash, I would recommend this over the original S bracket because it is more future-proof and the materials are much better. The angle adjustment is also stepless, which I like.
The additional cost is well worth it. It is necessary to purchase this item. It's a huge improvement! Godox has finally released an updated version of their S bracket, and let me tell you, these people pay attention to their customers. They improved on everything I disliked about the first, including a larger adjustment handle, a larger hole that fits the AD200 perfectly, even with the round head, and a much more steady and sturdy feel. I'm tempted to toss out all of my S brackets in favor of these.
PROS: Very sturdy, holds its position well, can pivot to almost any angle, and has a metal base for long-term stability when mounted to a light stand. br>CONS: They increased the size of the inside of where those mount on to, and both of mine just barely hang on, and I fear they will fall off at the slightest provocation, so I will continue to use the previous version for my AD200 and square softboxes. br>Overall, I really like this new version, and I appreciate Godox taking the time to listen to their customers!.
The original S bracket is a labor of love, and while it isn't perfect, I believe it serves its purpose admirably. The S2 Bracket works well, but I don't think it's an over-improvement, but rather a way to cover the need for a round head bracket. With my Godox V1, I can use all of Bowen's mount modifiers; however, it does not work perfectly with my stands.
Fits my flashpoint xR2 roundhead Speedlight as well as my flashpoint evolv200. It also includes a diffuser sock that can be used with either strobe. I haven't tried the diffuser sock, but one side of the inside sock is made of a reflective material, which I thought was worth mentioning. I also like how it's textured on one side. br>br>Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. It's adaptable, lightweight, and durable. Rubber padded areas in the interior help protect your belongings from damage.
Much better than the original S type bracket, but when compared to others, it's a bit pricey; my rating is two stars because I bought it to use with the Ad400 as advertised. Simply put, this is not a secure way to mount an Ad400 strobe to a c stand or light stand because the ad400's surface area is too small to feel secure holding in place. Second, when the Ad400 is installed, this product protrudes too far forward, blocking part of the bulb and reducing flash output. br>br>Overall, this is a great upgrade over the original s1 bracket, but the only real benefit is a slightly larger entrance for Ad200s and a better way to connect to the light stand. br>br>Wish it worked a little better, but I'll just use the included mount on the Ad400 instead.
I have both the Godox Bowens mount bracket and the cheaper Bowens mount bracket, and I must say that the Godox one is a huge improvement in terms of usability. It's fantastic to be able to mound sideways, and the rotating tightening handle is a game-changer. Overall, the build quality is comparable (plastic), but the usability, in my opinion, is worth the extra money.
Round head and traditional flashes are both compatible! Finally! I needed an S bracket, and that's exactly what I got. It can be used with either of my flashes. I have the Godox V1 and the Godox AD200, both of which fit perfectly. The gels are quite small and will almost certainly not be used. In the future, I'd just go with the bracket on its own. Overall, it's well-made, and I've had no problems with it; I'd purchase it again.
