The company's nbsp As someone who is just getting into photography, I have just recently bought a camera. I mainly use my camera to take photos of my own children. As a result of having recessed lights throughout our entire house, shadows are always cast no matter what time of day it is. A set such as this had been on my wish list, but I didn't want to spend too much money on equipment that my children could break (when walking a baby inside). There was nothing to worry about with the tripods so I was delighted with how sturdy they were and how nothing seemed to be prone to shattering or cracking Plastics and lightweight materials are both used, but the support system is excellent as well. While I doubt I will be using the color film options for photography, they will be great for uplighting at parties and halloween. I am very pleased with the purchase and can see many uses for them. It was very easy for a beginner to adjust the height.

The lighting in my house is terrible, since it is an old house. I tried purchasing brighter lightbulbs for my lamps, but none of them work. After I plugged these lights in, my room took on a new look and I loved how bright it appeared. I looked amazing on camera because my skin was so vibrant. With only one, you feel like a superstar, but with all three, you feel like an absolute superstar! This is a highly recommended book! These are the ones I bought to set up a three-point pointing system I have a point lighting system for streaming in my office. There are a few caveats to these kits, including that they come with (almost) everything you need to start using. First, I'll talk about what I like.
Pros Please note that. Their compact size and light weight makes them easy to place wherever you need to. It is easy to adjust their height and angular position. I like that they come with color gels--they're very easy to install-- and it's nice to have them come with the gels at all. You can adjust how bright the screen is by changing the brightness dial so that you just need the right amount. Due to their LED nature they are more energy efficient than traditional incandescent bulbs (in this modern age what bulb ISn't LED however)

Now Please note that. Standing behind a desk / monitor is impossible with these stands since they only go up to about 4 feet in height. It is either necessary for you to raise your desk, or to put your laptop on it. As well as being narrow, the stands are relatively tall- The feet make them more likely to fall over if you accidentally bump into them. Please note that. These don't come with power supplies, and they run off of USB (I guess they expect you to plug them into your USB ports on your PC, or use a powered USB hub of some sort). As all of my USB ports are occupied, I had to scrounge around the house to find some spare old phone power supplies (and purchase a power strip Please note that. It is nice to have the gels, even if they cast a lot of color, but they are the primary colors (I used the yellow and blue for rim lighting, however the light can be too saturated If you're interested in arty images or accent lighting, this could be the lighting you want, but pastels suit slight colorations better. Please note that. As you may expect, they are not as bright as you may expect. They are decent enough for video with a decent camera and lens, but you will need to shoot wide open and maybe increase ISO a bit. Please note that. Because the panels themselves are relatively small, they act more like an anchor, rather than a focal point It is a diffused panel that provides the light source. If you want to increase the surface area of the light, you can buy (or build) a softbox. However, this will reduce their already limited brightness output. Having a lens that lets in enough light is not much of an issue for me, but it may be for someone with a lens that is not as bright. I just wanted to give you something to consider. Generally speaking, the lights are good, and they cost around what you would expect for what they are. If they had a few tweaks made to the stand design and accessories included, they could really shine.

Occasionally, I like to use a power bank so I am not tied to a wall. Originally, I had a multi-port charging station, but it does not have all the ports I need. While the tripods topple far too easily, the lights aren't as fragile, so they have survived some This product is really good for the price it's offered at.

A reoccurring baby growth series was in need of extra lighting and the oversized fill lighting rig I have is too cumbersome to set up and take It throws decent light and, best of all, when packed it takes up just about as much space as a phone book. In general, you can't buy three tripods, all the way down to basic lights and mounts with gels for $50, so that makes it.

The lights are brighter and easier to use than you would expect, are lightweight, and are durable. For my spouse, setting them up to record video was not difficult. I found this purchase to be well worth it, since this was our first time purchasing lights for pictures & recording.
