I had this filter on for a four-hour shoot, and when the clamp pinched the gel filter, it left a small mark but didn't melt.
These sheets have a thickness of 0. Without the protective films on both sides, the thickness is 011" thick.
They are, in fact, quite obvious. Remember to remove the protective film first; I don't use them for photography; instead, I'm an artist who occasionally uses a red or blue filter to better compose the lights and darks in a painting. I hope this has been of assistance.
They're not going to do it. These are intended to help add tints and tones to light rather than subtract them. If you're having trouble with the lighting, you'll need to figure out how to white balance the camera on your iPad so that the photos you're taking are accurate.

These are what we've been using for our holiday lighting. We have LED lighting installed in our outdoor areas. I cut circles out of these gels and slapped them on my landscape spotlights. I usually cut them a little bigger than the spotlight so I can just shove them in there without having to use any adhesive, and I stick to red, green, orange, and purple for Halloween and Christmas. They do last for the duration of the holidays. Despite the fact that I have LED lights that do not emit much heat, there is some color loss and distortion by the end of the holiday season (I usually leave them up for 30 days). These should not be used with halogen bulbs because they will melt.
I set the orange on the table. I used purple gels on various lights outside my house and noticed that the color was barely altered. While these filters were exactly as described by the seller, I had to layer them twice, three times, or even four times to get the color change I wanted. As a result, I was unable to apply them to as many lights as I had hoped. Several other reviews have mentioned using these gels as screen filters for laptop or phone screens, and I can confidently say that they are excellent for that purpose and provide excellent value. If you want to change the color of spot lights for theatrical or home use, you should either invest in a higher-quality gel filter or order two packs of these so you can layer them.
Used Red to change Odometer to red and changed the climate control display to blue after a new install of new led bulbs I wished I had gone blue with them instead of white so instead of re-wiring the car I just re-wired it. I was soldering 10 new bulbs and decided to just use a color filter, which worked well. I am waiting on bulbs to replace all of my radio bulbs to blue, which is why I changed the radio display. I was checking to see what bulbs I needed and figured I would change it now. If I don't like it red, I can change it when I am in the radio replacing the bulbs. br>Update: I got the radio done.
The term "protective coating" is a little perplexing. I only needed red, just like another user. (I had originally ordered a single sheet of red, but the shipping was delayed, so I decided to go with these instead, despite the fact that I now have a lot of colors I don't need. ) br>(However, the yellow and orange ones are excellent for covering your monitor or laptop screen to block out blue light before going to sleep. ) It's a lot more pleasant to wear than amber glasses. )br>We recently bought a new air conditioner, and the temperature display numbers were a blinding white color, so I wanted to change them to red. I had to stack several layers to achieve the desired shade of red. I had originally taped the edges of two pieces that I had stacked. Then, because I wanted to go darker, I took out the pieces and peeled off the scotch tape, allowing me to add two more levels to the stack. A thin layer of film came off with the scotch tape when I peeled it off. More film came off the other side after I flipped the piece over and applied a bit of scotch tape to the corner. br>This isn't an issue for me. I'm not sure if I should remove this film or not. (It is stated in the description:) 'Comes with protective coverings to prevent scratching of the filter'). However, it's unclear whether or not these protective covers are supposed to stay on once the filters are used. ) br>In the end, I removed this film from each of the four pieces in my final stack (easy: pull back on a corner with a small piece of scotch tape). br>On Amazon, you can find other similar products. Some of these have been given a one-star rating. The top layer melted when they were used near lights, earning them five stars. If these reviewers had removed the outer film first, I'm not sure everything would have been fine. 'Please do not leave the product too close to the light that is on, or it will be melted. ' br>This is NOT to say that you should disregard the instructions in the description.
These are what I use with students who struggle to read. They are strong and durable. They perform admirably and should serve you well for many years.
Please understand that I used these gels with ONE OF THE BRIGHTEST LED BULBS ON THE MARKET. THE SANSI A21 22W (250-WATT)" Omni-LED (200Watt Equivalent) Omni-LED (200Watt Equivalent) Omni-LED I used this bulb in a street Acorn light fixture because it has 3000 lumens, 5000K Daylight, CRI 80, and an E26 Medium Screw. That I was putting to use on the inside. OhMy! The color scheme is far too bright and white. I then placed an order for these color correction sheets and gels. br> Depending on my mood, I could use a variety of tints. As long as there is a hole in the top, it won't overheat. And believe me when I say that when this bulb is turned on to its maximum brightness, it produces a lot of heat.
Based on the description, I expected them to be thin cellophane gels, but they're actually quite thick. rigid. These are nice, firm filters once the protective coating is removed (tape works best).
Colors are washed out on these colored plastic separators, which are similar to the colored separators found in 3 ring binders. br>br>I've been using theatre gels for a long time and have made the mistake of relying on the product labeling. Silly me. br>br>At the same hue, real theatre gels are more vibrant and saturated. br>br>What you pay for is exactly what you get.
