Hey, I'm not aware of any specific desk mounts for this device, but I believe they would work with a simple small tripod, like the ones you find for cameras and other small devices, as the mounting hole looks to have a standard screw-in design. There is, however, a longer folding tripod that comes with these lights that is about 2 feet long. On Amazon, you can find lights that are smaller and for tabletop use. Regardless, it is not my favorite, it takes up too much room on my table with the design of the stand. I have another table top light that is about 16 inches tall it does work okay, and it has a small mirror in the center of the light circle to see yourself. One of the things I like about the lights you are asking about is that they are battery powered and can be taken anywhere if required. You can turn the knob on the back to get either a warm light or a white light depending on what you need. As far as I know, the small table top one I have has just white light, which you can dim or brighten perhaps the others you mention are more sophisticated. The Viltrox you mentioned are very light in weight and convenient to use anywhere you want, especially if you use batteries. Using the Viltrox light units has been a very pleasant experience. It was necessary to design lights for webinars, create simple videos for courses, and more. While I am used to television type lighting, this is the lighting I use As for the budget, I simply searched for something basic since I am on a limited budget at this point. Some people didn't like the light stands on this product according to other reviews. As a result of this system, I am very pleased. My plan is to purchase a 3rd light in addition to the 2 purchased. In the carrying bag, there are enough pockets to hold three flashlights. My favorite part of the carrying case is the carry handle. The fact that you can dim or brighten the lights as well as adjust the light temperature is a nice feature. If you are using a computer camera for a webinar, one light can make a huge difference. As a matter of fact, I was surprised to learn that the lights themselves do not have batteries. These lights come with two lithium batteries that can be inserted in slots on the back. Therefore, if you wish to use these lights outside, you will have to purchase two lithium batteries each. Although I would love to have barn doors, this is a very good deal for the price.
