I'm going to buy more. PROS:
- PRICE! $134 vs. The Aputure 120D costs $675.
- Nothing gross is revealed in skin tones, good CRI (not stupendous, but fine for 90 of jobs).
- Good output (as seen in the attached photo), but not overly brightbr> - Barn doors, a remote control, colored gels, and a micro grid attachment were among the many accessories included in my kit. All of this for the same price as a standalone light from Amazon's other sellers. This is one item where you should shop around to get the best value for your money.
- Many lights do not include an LED cap. When transporting, this is extremely important.
- For the price, it appears to be a good build. Isn't made of metal like the 120D, but it doesn't appear to be too flimsy (a few exceptions are listed below)br> - The fan is too loud to use near your microphones, but YouTube has a simple solution. To be honest, I haven't changed anything on mine yet and haven't noticed any fan noise, but it is there if you listen closely. CONS: br>br>
- There's no reason why Godox couldn't charge an extra $15 for a silent fan. The same can be said for their models with higher output. What a moron.
- If you have a large modifier on the front of this light, be careful not to crank the angle tightening lever too hard, as plastic is designed to fail.
- The Bowens mounting latch is shoddy; the light grabs a few of my modifiers and refuses to let go without a fight.

The rest of the book is a shambles. UPDATED! It's an excellent lighting situation. I'd give it four stars if it were the only item in the bundle. For basic video work, this is a fantastic tool. It also comes with a long power cord and all of the light's features work as expected. br>br>The accessories are a complete disaster. The light appears to have been packaged in a molded foam clam shell at one time. The top portion of the shell, however, was removed to make room for the accessory gels, barn doors, and other items, which were then crammed into the original box. This meant that in the shipping process, all of the parts were in contact. Scratches and creases cover all of the gels, and some have been peeled off completely or partially. During shipping, the accessories scratched the light housing as well. In terms of the barn door attachment, it doesn't fit well and lets a lot of light in around the ring attachment. The cleaning supplies are adequate - Is it really that difficult to muck up a bag of rags? br>br>Based on the packaging, this shipper does not appear to be concerned about delivering a high-quality product. So I ended up with a scratched but functional light, as well as a slew of broken and ill-fitting accessories. However, with a sweet rag, I can keep everything clean! br>br>NOTE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED. A month has passed since the purchase. br>I've received multiple emails from the seller-- From the same customer service representative, never. They offered to replace my broken items at one point - That is something I value. We've already communicated via email four times. It's always the same letter, expressing regret for the poor condition of my goods and then asking if my first shipment was satisfactory. There are still no replacement parts available. Customer service appears to consist primarily of a large number of people sending out form letters with little follow-up. up or take action to replace my shattered items. SMH.

The Godox SL-II is one of my favorite cameras. 60W 60W. There are a few minor issues, such as memory recall between manual and remote control, but these are minor issues that I can get used to and adjust to; aside from that, the light quality and brightness are outstanding. The brightness is around 2/3 of a stop less than the Aputure 120D, and the price is also less, making this a more compelling option than the Aputure. br>br> Yes, there are a few more advantages to the Aputure, but this isn't something you'll overlook. br>br>Wish the battery in the product was rechargeable. This is one drawback that limits its portability. br>br>It has a long enough power cord. The accessories that came with the product are perfect, and they are exactly what I needed. br>In terms of delivery, it was on time, and the package was in excellent condition when it arrived. br>br>Highly recommended.

Before purchasing this, I had no knowledge of the Bowens mount system and assumed it was only used for small flash units. If you're looking for a light that's easy to carry around, this isn't it. It has a diameter of about 5" (125mm) and is about the same size as an American football. Although the body is made of plastic, it feels sturdy and is molded to look like a professional camera. The plastic body is appropriate because the light is an LED mounted on an aluminum heat sink and is not exposed to heat. To transport it, I'll most likely get a tool bag. br>br>It's as bright as it claims to be, and I'd guess it's brighter than a 650W tungsten studio light, but it's daylight balanced, so it performs better than tungsten (tungsten becomes very dim when using CTB to make it daylight balanced). It's as if you're staring at the sun when you look straight at it. I used a kill switch to check power consumption. watt, and it's closer to 75W than 60W, though some of that could be due to power conversion losses. I'm pleased because it appears to be a little brighter than I expected for a 60W LED. I'm not sure how long it is- I've only had it on for a few hours and have had no issues with it. br>br>I received all of the accessories that were promised in good condition. The barn doors clip on to the bowl reflector, locking in place and requiring a spring pin to be retracted to release them, making it appear safe and proper. The honeycomb is tucked away behind the barn doors in a recess. The gels are held in place by magnets and sit in a slot in the barn doors. Color gels appear to be fairly useless, but I suppose I could glue some good CTO (tungsten Color Temperature Orange) into one for use with mixed practicals.
