A hot spot does not exist. I have an extremely small green screen measuring only 5'x7', so it's not hard to get even coverage than it would be on a larger screen. It is commonly suggested that using lights such as these vertically on the green screen will make the light more even. The hardware store ended up being my final destination, and I spent three hours there For the L brackets, nuts, bolts, and washers that I need to stand them vertically, I spent 4 dollars. Kino Diva bulbs are extremely bright, perhaps even brighter than the real thing. A pair of daylight bulbs are included, which are 5400K, with only 200K difference between them and the actual daylight mark. There is a solid feel to the light stand. This mattress also has air or spring cushioning, so that's another bonus. I can't believe how quiet it is. Due to the mirrors on the barn doors, light is reflected instead of absorbed. Moving around with it won't be as challenging as working with a heavy device. The light in this picture is excellent- I am impressed with how well-built it is despite its light weight. There are a few negatives There is not a lot of room between the barn doors and the wall. There is so much glue holding the plastic mirror strips and the barn doors together that when you try to pry them open, you can hear the glue breaking. On the barn doors, there are plastic mirror strips glued on. Despite constant use, they are most likely to come off in a few months or so. *sigh* - (I have no idea what it's called) The piece connected to the yoke that allows the light to sit on the tripod prevents the light from tilting forwards any further. Unlike glass doors, barn doors can only open about 140 degrees, so to maximize daylight spillage (spillage is a word), they can't be completely opened. A plastic material is used for the segments of the light stand (where the knobs to tighten the segments are found). The odds of these breaking also appear to be improving. To solve this problem, my advice would be to just spend the $120+ on a C- A replacement will stand in its place. They are much safer, more convenient, and more versatile than usual stands. Despite this, the light does not To replace my existing dimmer and two-way switch, I planned to get a dimmer Check with a three-prong grounding converter to see if this works as an alternative, if so the item will be even more useful. For only $70, you can have a Fluorescent Light Bank! In my search for a soft box fluorescent, I found a lot of them sold on Amazon, but I really didn't want to go through the hassle of screwing five bulbs in every time I needed lighting. When I saw this $100 item, I had to have it Compared to other similar units, this unit is $200 less. While I was a little nervous that no one else had reviewed this product, I ended up ordering two 4Banks and one 2Bank. Due to me ordering all of the items at the same time, I only had to pay $11 to receive them all. I ordered the item on Friday, and I received it around Thursday of While it wasn't the two day prime time, the speed was good nonetheless. A couple of things I want to point out before I start my review. of all, it seems that this product is not It appears that the item is LS Photo Pro Studio rather than LS Photo Pro. When I checked their web site, I could not find such a item. This (as shown in the sample photos) is a service provided by a company located in My search for this model only discovered an updated model of the unit on the company's site. In order to give it a bubble texture instead of the mirror finish, the barn doors were textured. The main reason I'm mentioning this is that it was one of the older models that KimOutlet bought in bulk from LS Photo Pro Studio and is now selling at a cheaper price. . . . . . . C. Furthermore, this unit cannot be dimmed without inducing flicker, so if you're looking for a dimmable unit, this isn't your best choice You should search elsewhere if you are able. THIS IS UNBEAUTIFUL! Upon receiving the units, there was only one significant problem. My first reaction was a high level of excitement as soon as I got the units. Turning them on was as easy as plugging them in. I was shocked to discover that all three of the units were defective! As soon as I discovered we had a problem, I messaged the company to ask them to send me return postage and fix the issue. Due to the quality of all three units being bad, I was concerned that there was a design flaw here. The engineer is planning to check the units when he returns from his business trip on May 10th. To be sure, return postage was sent and the engineer was sending back the units. As I received the return shipping cost, they only provided one shipping label, so I was unable to return both units within the same shipping envelope. A few days ago, I emailed them about a second label and said that I would be moving in a few days and to ask if it would be a problem to ship the units to a On May 3rd, new units were shipped to my old address and they promised to send them to my old address soon after. It seems my defective units didn't hold up to testing. I was told, however, that the new ones were thoroughly tested before being sent out. Upon picking up the units from UPS, I was also able to hold them. More than they were at fault for the move, it was mine. My apologies for the long story, but the new units I received were perfect. The bulb in one of the units had been damaged in shipping, but I switched it with the other one I am returning, so it is not a deal breaker. *It is the unknown! *It is the unknown! Because I have not had the opportunity to shoot with these much, I am not familiar with how fast of a shutter speed you can use without shooting The photographs have been taken up to 1/250 of a second and I still do not If I point my iPhone at the bulb directly, I do see waves within the light, but the shutter speed is definitely off the charts however, there is probably no way to detect them It's true that their bright lights are impressive, but in most applications you don't have to take shutter speeds past 1/250. As far as the plus green factor is concerned, I don't know. It is likely the bulbs will have a green spike since the bulbs are OSRAM 5400K. Lee fluorescent filters can always be used to fix this, or you can choose to buy Kino Flo bulbs and/or order The review should not have been too wordy and I hope it helped. The light quality is pretty good for the low cost of the Kino Flo lights are some of the best I have ever used. I have used a few other brands before too, but they were pleasantly surprised at how good they can be for the price. However, build quality is subpar. The first issue is that some of the parts do not seem to fit correctly with the remainder The second problem is that my light is not working anymore. The wires had to be connected to the correct spot on the power block so that the bulbs would receive power, and then I had to open the back of the light so that the power block was taped down so that it would not move about. Although it was a quick process, I would have expected to receive my NEW product instantly after submitting the order. I consider these lights worth the price tag once more. Changing them up a little bit might require some tweaking, but it will save you a lot of money. You should know upfront that this is not a high end product, it has no fancy finishes or knobs, and you are going to need to do some DIY stuff to make it fit your needs.
