With the use of seltzer tablets and safety glasses, the lid would pop off and the contents would spill out for up to ten minutes. The height is 15 feet!.
These are the containers that I use for geocaching. They are long-lasting and have a good seal. They may not be waterproof in a particularly wet environment, but they're ideal for a sheltered location like a lamp skirt hide. (Geocachers will understand what I mean. ) ) I believe these will last longer than a pill bottle. I keep a few in my car in case I need to hide one quickly or replace one that has been damaged. It's a great value for money.
br>br>They're a little narrower than some, but they still fit a 135 cassette. The lid is incredibly tight, almost to the point of being impossible to open. It's a little difficult to pop off, which is why it only gets four stars instead of five. They're black and lightproof, and they'll suffice for storage, though I'll keep an Ilford scrap in my bag and transfer the rolls into those for use in the field when I need to pop the top off one-handed.
Perhaps I should have read the description more carefully, but I've always assumed that film canisters come in a fairly standard size; I have a couple of old ones that fit the bill, but these are a little too skinny to hold the film strips I needed to store. They appear to be well-made, and I don't believe the average photographer would have any problems with them. These didn't work out for me because I had a unique film storage requirement. Before placing an order, it's a good idea to double-check the dimensions. Overall, it's not a bad deal, and I'm sure I'll be able to put them to good use.
These canisters are ideal for storing small parts such as screws, nuts, and bolts, and I would purchase them again.
It works perfectly!.
I work with children and have used them as part of a science experiment. The kids were enthralled by the activity, which we will be able to repeat many times.
They have a tight seal and are leak-proof.
