I thought this microscope was pretty good for the price. My favorite aspect of this microscope is that it is rechargeable and that it is a great value for the money. I was able to use the device for quite some time even with the screen on and light on. The pros are The battery can be charged while in use, the screen has nice clarity, and the light is bright, the zoom can be adjusted, and the weight is light. It is my opinion that the resolution isn't that great. The quality of the service is ok, but it is I found that the fine focus knob wasn't really fine, and the light adjustment wasn't all that good. Either it is too bright or it is too dim.
A great 1080 screen combined with good optics and an easy control interface makes for a great viewing experience. Good that you can store photos or video on the SD card included, but I found the instructions to be nearly useless and the software interface difficult to understand. There is a nice dedicated function button with a strange 'D' label, which offers a choice of either viewing videos, still images, or live views. There is also a hidden light level button on the back of the camera. I found the USB plug on the back to be a little tight. stands. We list them on our Christmas list for families with children, if adults don't commandeer them for hobbies or just for all-around interesting and educational uses.
Coin collectors will love this. It would be nice to get a shot of the entire piece. Despite the zoom, you can view the flaws in the design pretty well
DESIGN FLAW The picture of my coin that appears on the screen is mirrored when I connect it my Mac, however, when I take a photograph of it, it turns into a normal picture. This can be changed (if there is a way to do that in photobooth I haven't figured it out yet) The slots for the SD card and memory stick In addition, the micro USB charging ports are so close to the back of the microscope that it's almost impossible to plug them in and charge them. In case you notice, I have small hands (and I need to insert the SD card). If you wish to charge the device, leave the USB connected and hook it back up to the adapter when you need.
I am very pleased with the picture. I think it is good for the price. A zoom image is created by refocusing the camera as it moves up and down. Definitely a well-made product. It would be nice if the focusing was It is best if the base lock collar has a rubber washer for a tighter fitting. As soon as the lock nob is loosened, the camera and screen will drop. A hand should be wrapped around the post under the camera and screen in order to adjust the.
In a nutshell, I love this microscope and have had so much educational fun using it with my children as we homeschool. This set up isn't super complicated as in the video. I like the big screen and the fact that you can save images to a micro SD card.
For a novice, it's a good digital microscope. The only reason I give it three stars is because the micro USB charge port is located too close to the display body and therefore cannot accommodate the micro USB cable. To even be able to plug the thing in, I had to shave a millimeter of plastic off the usb plug with a razor. There is a very poor design there, otherwise the product is good.
For its price tag, this is a good microscope. While the monocular looked great for my coin collection, using it was a pain in the buttocks. It seems to be cheaply made, but that's all I have to say. Plastic accounts for 90% of its weight. I found nothing to complain about besides that.
There is a great level of focus and sharpness in all the pictures. One of my only wishes would be a longer vertical arm so I could get a bigger picture of the whole thing.
