A real magnification is not present. With my CHEAPO CELL PHONE, I can take similar quality photos, with similar levels of detail! It is hard to understand how this product has no reviews of 1 stars. It seems like something is amiss. I bought this for its intended use, and it turned out to be absolutely useless for that purpose. In my line of work I deal with a lot of electronics, so PCBs are always around. The lens end of the camera is enclosed in a clear plastic cap that cannot be removed, so an inhalation of hot air is definitely not advised. My work space and the camera are too close together for me to even fit a soldering iron between them. *There is also the matter of the "magnification" area. It is possible for me to squeeze a few components in there. Although dates and other details can be seen, the whole coin or even half of it cannot be seen.
* This thing is flimsy, not stable, and it smells awful! The smell of it is pervasive. That is the 1st time I've ever experienced that in an item. Maybe they were disinfecting it but I have had it for a few days and the smell is like something in between a generic laundry detergent and a chemical cleaner. My experience with this fake microscope has been negative from beginning to end. Generally speaking, a microscope is able to zoom in on things and has a variety of settings. Is zoom on this thing what you want? Moving the camera closer will help you better see. The time period. In just a few moments, I will print a return label after I finish writing this review. As hard as I tried, I really wanted this thing to love me. It was a disappointment when I first encountered it, so I decided to wait until the next morning to find out what it was about. I was surprised at how well it went. Having the ability to take pictures and record videos is great. I am currently not yet in a position to give an accurate evaluation of this product, as I just received it. However, I did like the reviews provided, so I am hoping it works as claimed. My disappointment is somewhat sparked by the dumb so-called instructions. I will update this review once I have figured out what the problem is.

The function of the probe is to probe and solder fine-pitch SMT components. As opposed to magnifier visors, it saves me from back and neck pain. The 0402 pieces are easy for me to work with.
