My microscope allows me to see small objects better, which is why I got it. When doing hobby projects, I do a fair amount of soldering. It is getting harder to manage my eyeballs and my components are getting smaller. It is extremely useful to have this microscope. The problem of bad solder joints is immediately apparent, so testing becomes much easier. As a stand-alone monitor (using the built-in screen), it works well, but if a bigger picture is required, it can be connected to a PC (and MAC, but I did not test those). A great scope with a great focus range and a working field that you can easily follow parts with the Z-axis By adjusting the height and focus, you can adjust the dimension. I find the additional two lights to be very useful, although sometimes I have difficulty positioning the arms in the exact position I am looking for Even so, they are a great help.
