My use of it is for my own personal enjoyment, but I think you can use it for more sophisticated work as well. On the stage, the slide/specimen is positioned with precision and is convenient to view. Here are the photos I took to prove it. The microscope has a decent resolution. Very easy to use, and the images are really nice. The 40x objective lens was slightly dirty, but other than that it worked great. It's a good thing I ordered Kim wipes since it looks like they will do the job.

I had a tough time choosing a microscope on Amazon, and most don't seem to have pictures from customer reviews. I so wanted to share some pictures with you so you would know what an excellent quality the microscope is. It is on 400x that you can see the nearest image.
