Questions & Answers

What is the correct way to open the battery compartment of my microscope? How do I change batteries in my microscope?

My dear Lisa, thank you for asking me this In order to remove the battery case lid, you have to use the allen key included in the package to unscrew it from the bottom of the unit. Push the cover to the right, and the battery case can be opened. You will see that a "Right Arrow" is visible on the cover. In case of questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. I wish you all the best, Annie

What can be done to prevent the eyepiece from being pushed too far towards the stage and damaging the glass slide?

In order to move the stage up, a fixed point must be reached. An objective lens with a 40X focal length is the longest When the stage is raised to a higher position, it is the only objective lens that can touch a glass slide. When the stage is raised too high, it will touch the 40X lens if the user moves the stage up too far. With the SW200DL, however, the tip of the 40X lens retracts 3 mm to minimize the possibility of damaging the slide. I have not broken a slide with the SW200DL yet.

Are there any ways to fit a DSLR camera on the head for taking How are you?

This microscope has just been given to me as a birthday present for my son. Even when it's plugged in or the batteries are in, this lamp does not light up. Do you think this is ?

It's a great value for the price for an at-home Having great interest in seeing everything in great detail is what led me and my wife to purchase the Swift SW200DL microscope A bug might be a dust particle, textile, food, or a four-legged animal It is possible to print in color
5/5

It was important that the microscope had a top light that was of school quality. Upon receiving the microscope, we were happily surprised by the quality and weight. We were surprised at how clear and vibrant the color was for equipment at this budget. In spite of the existence of a bit of aberration near the edges (not surprising at this price), it is barely noticeable, and is not troublesome. The aberration isn't inherent in the image, but must be found to be observed. There were no bumps in the coarse and fine adjustment controls, and the stage moved smoothly at all times. It was smooth to rotate the nosepiece when changing objective lenses, and the rest of the microscope clicked into place without moving it. Only one downside is that the top light cannot be used by using the 40X objective lens because the lens is so long that it blocks the path of The quality of this microscope is as good as the much more expensive ones I used when I was A five-star rating would be appropriate for this microscope.

It is a pleasure to work with such an incredible image
5/5

With the low power objective and the overhead lighting this microscope produces some truly breathtaking images. I bought it to check out things that my kids and I found in the yard. We even saw a living insect buried among a few foxtail grass strands, which is hard to describe. Make sure to get the stage lighting version with overhead and below Those are a few disadvantages you should be aware of There is no motor, so it's a bit tricky to move specimens around on it. Moreover, the endstop for the focuser is difficult to set, so you must be very careful to ensure that the high power objective doesn't come into contact I believe it would be very easy to scratch the collimator, if you are not careful. Since the collimator is flush with the stage, I suspect it will be very easy to scratch. It would have been nice if it included an aperture similar to an iris (although I realize this would probably not be possible at this price point)**Overall The value of this microscope is incredible considering its price. All family members have been impressed by the images produced and are eager to see what else is available! This is an excellent microscope, and I recommend picking one up.

This microscope would be good for either a beginner or an It is the perfect microscope no matter if you're a beginner or an expert
5/5

Built from solid metal, it can be easily operated by a battery, it has rough and fine focus, and it has dual light sources for viewing samples using transmitted and Using a mechanical stage only had one negative effect on me most of the overhead light could not reach the stage due to the stage blocking the light.

Place your phone camera in front of it and see what happens
5/5

This is just like the ones we used Her filling time is pretty short, and it runs out of fun things to do pretty quickly. It is better to have an agenda in advance if you want to get the most out of it. There is a lot of lighting, and the fine controls operate well. While she had never used a similar device before, it was easy for her to figure it out on her own. In my opinion, it was the best part of the experiment to put my iPhone camera as close to the eyepiece as possible without touching the specimen and viewing it While they make stands that can do this for you, I found just holding it steady was good enough for our limited application.

I purchased this for home schooling high school biology
4/5

If an instruction book had been included, it would have been a good purchase. We were very disappointed to find no instructions included with the kit, although it works fine. Also, it appears that an eyepiece "pointer" was attached to the lens until it fell off.

Microscopy - a really good introduction
5/5

It is very clear and the resolution is excellent. The lights above and below allow me to see the images without needing a slide (for instance, insects so I could show my 5-year-old). It was the only feature lacking that made it not worth 100 points. It would be the extra 00 to get this mechanical stage, or whatever it is called, where you can turn knobs to move the slide left/right and forward/backward. It is therefore necessary for you to move the slide carefully with your hand in order to search for the specimen.

I'm very happy with the result

I chose a microscope that had been used before Almost as good as new. In my search for something new or like new, I was looking for something It was an old microscope, but I was impressed by the quality of it. The battery area was a bit of a problem for me. It was necessary for me to remove the bottom of the unit and the battery pack holder as the black lead from the pack was pinched and creating a short in the connector. Once you've removed the pack and reconnected the batteries, power up the light. The only thing I wish I would have done is gotten a dual light version of this microscope, but I figure I can hold a flashlight and it will be equivalent to a dual light model. My overall impression of the quality of construction is very positive. It is not impossible for me to make this microscope last for many years, if I use it carefully.
