The answer is NO. It will come with additional software after you purchase your iPad, but you will never be able to use the highest magnification on the computer no matter what you do - you will have to use the iPad as a stand-alone. Unless you want to waste your money on this POS, please don't buy it. The only thing I regret is that I did it!
In fact, the third highest magnification won't display on your computer due to the way this camera is set up. So frustrated with myself for wasting so much money on this microscope - I felt like a total loser! Purchase it at your own risk.

The drivers for it are on a disk that has to be mounted on the computer as it has to be connected to the computer. Using my 32" TV as a monitor, I use the computer. Snapshots and videos can be created with the software that comes with the AmScope. The game is fun to play and educational as well. I am in contact with Art

My experience with microscopes dates back to my days as a microbiologist, so I know a few things about them, and AmScope products have not met my expectations. In anticipation of using my fourth-generation home stereo system with the M148 The glasses were grade class, but there was a defect in one lens, causing a smudge to appear on it. All lenses were off and I cleaned everything, but it appears that the defect was in an internal part of the camera that I could not access. A M158 was ordered as a replacement for the M148. It has the same defect as the last one, and I just took it out of the box. Basically, it's a smudge of dirt or miscellaneous substance covering the specimen's center. This microscope left a bad taste in my mouth. While it is not very expensive, I should not have such problems with even the most affordable microscopes.
In fact, even at 40x, it did not look good even with an old USB microscope that cost me less than $30. To say the least, this microscope is awesome. This microscope is comparable to the ones used in local school labs and one of the hospital labs. There is a lot of detail in the image so I can see everything clearly. In regards to the resolution, the only complaint I have -- and this is not with the microscope itself, but with the digital imager -- I did not need to wait long after I installed the software from the disc and attached the camera for the computer to recognize it. By the time the software was installed, I was up and running in less than 5 minutes. Since the camera has a resolution of only 640x480, don't expect high-quality pictures from When I looked at the picture at 40x with the microscope, I found it to be crystal clear. With 400X, the image gets blurry because the camera can't capture the detail that the microscope shows at this level. At 250x, the image is blurry regardless of the magnification. There is a 1 in my heart. In order to achieve the magnification that this microscope can provide, a camera with a resolution of 3 MP or even 2 MP would have been preferable. There is no doubt that it would be more expensive, but it would be worth it in the end. My 10x optics show me what I need and how I want to view the subject at the moment. I have not tried the 25x however. The pros are The LEDs operate on batteries or AC power. *High Magnification*Excellent Clarity*Easy to use*Easy to use*Leds run on batteries or AC power. The battery option makes it easy to take with me when I am out and about looking at things and making slides on the go. The cons are Any magnifying power higher than 40x, you'll find the quality of the USB Camera disappointing. I was concerned about the microscope quality, so there was no reduction in stars due to the camera. You can share low magnification images online with friends. * It comes with a pointer built into the objective lens and I dislike it, but it comes in handy when you want to tell someone what you just noticed. My preference would be to get rid of it if I was given the option. Since this is just a pet peeve of mine, I will refrain from knocking off stars. As a result This isn't the camera you want if you want to use high magnification most of the time and have a computer with you often. Go for one with a higher resolution camera instead. You can use this for your kids or for the occasional digital image, but if you plan on using it with your kids I would strongly recommend it for any household use. I’ve already recommended three of my friends to purchase this microscope for their children and they are really enjoying The kids are not concerned about the quality of the cameras, so it's a plus for this one. I would certainly buy the microscope again, but I would skip the model with the built-in camera and get the one without it because I do not anticipate using it often.
Purchased this item for a great price. While initially skeptical, this microscope has turned out to be an awesome tool for daily use. It was helpful in looking at tick hemolymph for my graduate work. E. euglena and R. rotifer were among the pond grasses I observed. A pool of blood appeared in front of me. The larvae of mosquitoes caught my attention. In addition to rosemary stems and tomato leaves, I examined cross sections of other materials as well. The fact that it can be powered by batteries makes it a good option for the field. One of the best things about it is that you can take videos and photos! A video of my sperm has been taken! I think this is so fun for only 100 dollars.
The quality of this product must be considered against the cost. I am a retired clinical laboratory scientist and a Medical Technologist (MT), and I have used some of the highest quality microscopes available so I have experienced their use. A scope of the AmScope 40X type A 1000X LED cordless light A full-featured implementation of the Metal Framework A simple compound microscope, but the Glass Optical Lens Student Biological Compound Microscope + Digital Camera USB Imager" could be used for most of the tasks I performed while employing a simple compound microscope where it was the only option. As a result, I highly recommend this scope for a student, a teacher, as well as for a home user if the price is a concern for the buyer. In checking out the instrument, I was so impressed that I ordered another one for myself as well. I originally bought one for my granddaughters, and while I was checking out the instrument, I was blown away by the quality. "The van Leeuwenhoek special" will be replaced by the following It is technically true that the lenses are reasonably achromatic and have a reasonable field of view with only a modest amount of distortion at the field edges. As far as field of view is concerned, I have not made any measurements. Neither the software nor Digital Camera USB Imager do not pose a problem when running under.
It was bought for my nephews (who are quite studious, intelligent, and inquisitive) and they may have used it two or three It does not have a touchscreen, will not display emojis, and does not make sounds (like ringtones, etc. ), meaning that it is completely useless for kids. A biologist with a lot of scope time), and I think it was a good You're not going to win any friends who take it out of the box if you're under 18. As a kid, I had a small scope, and the darn thing was worn.
Excellent microscope that can be used by multiple people. Kids will enjoy watching this one because they can look at it on their laptop screen OR project it on the wall if they The activity was used as part of a STEM lesson with about 20 students A great time was had by all 25 kids. The attendees could view the slides on the screen (I used a projector and connected it to my laptop, which was connected to the microscope) without having to converge around it. The programming budget would not allow me to provide multiple microscopes for that many kids. However, I had to compromise on the budget for this project It was a conscious effort for them to do some handwork Here are some thoughts about On the screen, we had nice views of the wet mounted slides. Even without the camera or USB, the scope can get a pretty good magnification and is capable of working as a one-element scope With an extensive viewing range, this microscope is ideal for the person who is in need of it. For groups of beginners, this microscope is excellent.
