Yes, the foam can be easily removed from the case because it is not attached to it.
The mobility case's wheel kit outperforms the regular case by a wide margin.
You'd be better off with the m1560 because it's a little more flexible. Aside from that, the M series (mobility) is the only option. When it comes to having to roll around, it's a Cadillac compared to the standard cases!
Yes, gravel is a good idea. Exceptional craftsmanship

Overall, I like this case, but there are two minor flaws: there were six (? There were no fasteners on the case, so there were ) spots for attaching the wheels to it. The wheel kit didn't seem to be very well attached without these, and the case was not at all waterproof. I went to the hardware store and bought a few dollars worth of nylock nuts and bolts, and it now appears to be secure. The latches come in second. When they're fully closed, they're solid, but they have a "false" closed position. Because of this problem, when it was opened for inspection at airport security, the latches were not fully closed. It would be halfway open when it arrived on the baggage carousel! I printed a label that said "please close firmly, two clicks," which helped, but I still get nervous if there are any smaller items inside.
First and foremost, I am a huge fan of pelican cases. I have a total of 12 different cases that I use. This was purchased to go with my new Jeep Rubicon. This is how I take care of my camera equipment, compasses, and a few cigars when I'm out and about! In addition to being an excellent case, the off-road wheels provide a more rugged and stable foundation for transporting this case anywhere and over anything. The larger wheels and thicker base added some weight, but it was well worth it. I also have the lighter, more airline-friendly 1510, which I enjoy as well, but for off-roading and adventure, the 1510M is unbeatable.
100%. This is a fantastic case! I've been traveling a lot lately, both by car and by plane, and I was getting tired of my luggage getting scuffed and of lugging it through airports. I used Nikon D5 and D810 cameras, as well as four 1. 4 prime lenses, 3 spare Nikon SB500 batteries, and a couple of cigars This case is solid and rolls beautifully. I know it'll be fine even if I have to red tag it at the gate! 100% recommended!.
The only reason I bought a second bag was because the first one was so badly damaged by the airline that I couldn't fly with it. When I got home, I was able to fix it. I'm now the proud owner of two fantastic totes.
I've been dragging this thing around NYC and it hasn't been damaged yet.
Although the case was excellent, the foam for packing tools was inadequate. I purchased a lid organizer as well as some tool pallets that fit the bill. However, it is far superior to the foam.
The new additions are particularly appealing to me: Pick n' pluck foam and roller blade style wheels allow for easy transportation on any hard surface. The case is well-balanced and comfortable to lay down. Because my husband is studying to become an Automation Field Tech, he purchased this case primarily for tools. A case on wheels will make it much easier for him to transport the tools from one location to another while working on machines. My husband stands 5'4" tall and can comfortably wheel his case behind him.
Excellent for line maintenance.
