It's a good idea to keep one as a backup for the carrier vest or whatever product you're using it with. I photograph special events. I purchased this extra hub so that I could use the one that came with the vest while also attaching a strap to the bottom of a second camera in the blackrapid style, which has a hole for a key ring. Advantages: br>br> Aluminum that is well-made, strong, and machined. There's no need to be concerned about transporting costly equipment. I can't imagine my life without it now that I have it. It enables me to fasten any strap to the camera's bottom. It also serves as a backup to the one that came with my cotton carrier vest. br>br>Cons: EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE.
It's crucial for attaching your camera to the Cotton Carrier line of harnesses and slings because it's practically "bulletproof. " It's not cheap.
My cotton carrier came with a hub that's identical to this one. I misplaced one of the two hubs that came with my cotton carrier and needed to replace it, so I purchased this item.
