Maybe I'm overly optimistic, but I find this flexible tripod to be a little flimsy. I was considering using my phone as a "dashcam" while riding my bike, but I'm reconsidering. br>br>I suppose the twisty legs could wrap around the handle bars or some other mounting point, but the mounting screw is quite loose, and you have to really crank down on the locking ring and the gimbal knob to feel secure. Although the "Universal phone mount" has a strong spring, I am hesitant to use it with a case or any mods; With the stock battery on my Moto Z3, I had to fiddle with it to get a comfortable grip. br>br>Because it's so light, I have to hold the phone in my free hand while using the screen controls to keep the tripod from tipping over when it's sitting on my desk with the legs straight. Although the description shows it holding a DSLR, I'm hesitant to use it with my EOS 500D. br>br>The remote was easy to pair with the phone, and it worked with the AB Shutter software on the phone, so no complaints there. However, I'm perplexed by the fact that the iOS button is twice the size of the Android control. br>br>The instruction sheet is small and printed on the backside of the box. the- rental- car- gray fine print agreement Make sure you have a magnifying glass on hand.
The phone can be held in place by the legs. I like how the little holder for the phone gives you two options for using it. br>br>Legs are about 5 inches long. The legs have a foam or rubbery exterior. It gives it a grippy texture. I was able to secure them around a 2x2 piece of wood by wrapping them around it. br>br>It was tested on an iPhone 8 and Xr, as well as a Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.
It's a little smaller than I anticipated, but it's still quite portable. The grip to hold the phone is a standard open and clamp — if you have a standard phone case, your phone should fit; however, if you have a phone card holder, I would recommend removing the cards because it would be too thick otherwise. You must first download an app to use the bluetooth remote.
This was an excellent purchase! br>br>I carry it with me everywhere and it fits in the pocket of my jeans! (With some of the tripod outside)br>br>I've used it as a mini extension or mini selfie stick; the remote is a powerful tool, but it only works with iOS and Android (I tried it on my point and shoot camera). shoot)br>br>Also, the remote can fit on your keychain, so you can use it as a remote for your phone even if you don't have the tripod. br>br>The tripod can hold an iPhone 11 with a Spigen tough case and a point and shoot camera. br>br>Great value for the moneybr>br>Not recommended for DSLR camerasbr>br>.
I was eager to try this product as soon as I took it out of the package. I screwed the cameral holder into the legs and placed it on top of a table. The tripod fell to its side, landing on the floor, and one of the legs broke off! I suppose the legs were not perfectly evenly spread out, and the tripod fell to its side, landing on the floor, and one of the legs broke off! The quality of this product disappointed me so much that I returned it right away. Fortunately, the return procedure was simple and painless. I ordered and received a different product (Joby GripTight Smarphone/Action Camera Flexible Tripod Stand Kit), which I am pleased with.
This versatile tripod is ideal for use on a tabletop or other flat surface. Although I haven't tested it on a vertical surface, it appears to be durable. It allows the camera to focus in various directions, including sideways, up, down, and otherwise; I gave it a 4 because it is very light, but it does keep the camera planted on top. Its sturdiness is determined by the camera's size and weight. It works fine with my Nikon 7000 camera and lens.
It's a little smaller than I expected; I should've given it more thought. Aside from that, everything appears to be in good working order. Simply ensure that the phone is in a balanced position. I'm using it with an iPhone 12 and a mini iPad 4 and it's pretty versatile and secure. Overall, I am extremely satisfied.
