Please keep in mind that the telescope is not included in the package. (1)Moon and Skyglow Filter; (1)CPL Filter; (5)Color Filters: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue; Designed to reduce glare and light scattering, increase contrast through selective filtration, increase definition and resolution, reduce irradiation, and reduce eye fatigue by reducing glare and light scattering.
MOON AND SKYGLOW FILTER: Reduces glare, enhances surface detail, and improves contrast; It is a multi-band pass filter that transmits a large percentage of visible light; Effectively filters out selective wavelengths of low-pressure sodium and other man-made sources commonly used in street lighting.
CPL FILTER: You can cut through those reflections and see the detail behind them by using a CPL filter, which filters out scattered light. It also improves the contrast of the moon and planets in photographic images.
THREAD SIZE: 1.25 INCHES STANDARD 1.25 INCHES STANDARD 1.25 INCHES STANDARD 1.25 INCHES 3.25 inches/25 inches Color filters have the grooves needed to be softly screwed into the eyepieces lens easily; thread size is 17 centimeters, which fits most telescopes;
5 COLOR FILTERS: Includes Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, and Blue; Red: Helps make Mercury and Venus stand out from the blue sky when viewed during the day; Orange: Helps increase contrast between light and dark areas, penetrates clouds; Yellow: Aids greatly in viewing Mars by bringing out the polar ice caps; Green: Enhances frost patches, surface fogs, and polar projections on Mars; Blue: Aids in splitting the binary star Antares when at maximum

Questions & Answers

What are the contents of these filters? Is there a protective case for each of them?

They'll be packaged in a box with two nylon-type carrying cases. The lenses are held in four pockets on the nylon cases.

What are the filter numbers for the different colors?

Not dure

Is it possible to stack these because they are double threaded?

I have the four-piece set, and yes, they are stackable because they are double threaded. The filters in the 7-piece set are double threaded as well, according to magnified pictures. (Note: For the money, I think either set is a great option.)

Rating of the filter
4/5

First and foremost, let me state unequivocally that these are not high-quality filters. However, they suffice for the casual observer. Most, if not all, telescope filter manufacturers use numbers to identify their products. This makes deciding which filter to use for what a lot easier. There isn't a number assigned to these. I've gone through some of the newer filters and tried to match the filter numbering used by other manufacturers as closely as possible. br>br>NEWER FILTER GUIDEbr>br>The set comes with a Moon and Skyglow Filter, a CPL Filter, and five color filters (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, and Blue). br>Moon and Skyglow Filterbr>It reduces glare and improves contrast by bringing out more surface detail. br>CPL Filterbr>It filters out scattered light, allowing you to cut through reflections and see the detail behind them. It dims the brightness of the lunar surface, allowing you to see the moon in its best light. Red Filter, Orange Filter, Yellow Filter, Green Filter, Green Filter, and Blue Filter are among the 5 color filters available.

21- Orange Filterbr>It aids in the detection of dust storms on Mars by increasing contrast between light and dark areas, penetrating clouds, and increasing contrast between light and dark areas. It also aids in the enhancement of Jupiter's Great Red Spot and the enhancement of contrast.
15- Yellow Filterbr>By bringing out the polar ice caps, enhancing blue clouds in the atmosphere, increasing contrast, and brightening desert regions, the Yellow Filter aids in viewing Mars. It also brightens Jupiter's and Saturn's red and orange features while darkening the blue festoons near Jupiter's equator.
58- Green Filterbr>It improves frost patches, surface fogs, and polar projections on Mars, Saturn's ring system, and Jupiter's belts, as well as acting as a general-purpose filter. When viewing the Moon, you should use a specific filter.
80- Blue Filterbr>It enhances contrast on Jupiter's bright areas and cloud boundaries, provides detail in atmospheric clouds on Mars, increases contrast on the moon, brings out detail in Saturn's belts and polar features, and provides detail in atmospheric clouds on Mars. When the binary star Antares is at its most separated, it also aids in splitting it.

These guys are an absolute steal
5/5

While I've only used the color filters on a few occasions, I've grown to appreciate the CPL and Moon filters. Filters for the sky glow- Why did I buy these in the first place?

- They're made of aluminum and glass, to be precise. are they high-quality pieces that were created They've got two of them. Threaded and stackable, they can be threaded onto eyepieces or prime focus adapters for SLR cameras with ease. They also include some cool velcro-closed packets. Despite the fact that I added 2" x 2" plastic zip-lock bags for extra protection, Each piece has its own mini bag.

- Not only did the Moon and Sky Glow Filter improve clarity and contrast when viewing the moon, but it also improved contrast and clarity when viewing the sky. especially in its more advanced stages (the CPL is even better for this)- but it's also useful for boosting the sky's contrast and "blackness" when looking at star clusters in low-light conditions. Polluted conditions (I live in Osaka, Japan, which is heavily polluted) and clear skies- & By the way, there are a lot of good ones in Saturn's area these days- with eyepieces that have a larger field of view

- When viewing planets like Jupiter or Saturn, I haven't found it to be very useful, but my current telescope-- a Mak-90 mm Cass- simply does not gather enough light with its aperture (though I can see decent definition- Moons, rings, and cloud bands are all examples of astronomical phenomena. On good nights, I don't use filters). I plan to upgrade to 127 mm fairly soon, and they might prove more useful since it gathers 100% more light.

- HOWEVER. When using my 90 mm Mak-II to view really bright planets like Venus or Mars (these days), Cass? Using the Moon and Sky Glow, as well as the CPL, can be extremely beneficial. Venus has always been a bit of a thorn in my side (despite her brilliance). with a relatively small viewing window), but they reduced the brilliance to the point where you can clearly see the phase outline, and they've been working well with Mars as well- Each week, it grows bigger and brighter as it gets closer to its opponent on July 27th. I'm getting fantastic views using my scope, these filters, and a 15 mm Plossl 5x Barlow. I can even see the south polar ice cap from here. Over the last month, I've also been able to track the recent dust storm's progress. That's not to say it's a good thing.

- So, how much do you charge? While I'm sure there are better, these guys are head and shoulders above the rest. putting down a sound investment- especially since Mars will be opposing the Sun in a spectacular way in the near future- for a very low price, and will improve both your viewing and astrophotography. br>br>- Now let's hope the Martian dust storms pass quickly.

Excellent craftsmanship
5/5

I really like the color filters, and the moon filter is especially useful for making a bright moon a little more bearable to look at. I'm not sure what the skyglow filter's goal was, because it doesn't seem to change anything in my views, but then again, I usually observe in a much darker environment. I'd definitely recommend them because they look great and are packaged well.

We bought these for our first telescope when we were just getting into the hobby and couldn't believe how good they were for the price
4/5

They don't have any numbers on them, so you have to make educated guesses, though one writer did provide comparisons, which was extremely helpful. For Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn, we primarily use the blue filter, with the red filter being used on occasion. Instead of this set, I would have probably purchased a couple of colors that we mostly use individually at a higher quality, but I am not dissatisfied with my purchase. For the rest of our telescopes, 8" SE, these are still useful, but at that power, you might want to buy just the blue and violet filters, as well as a moon filter, rather than the entire set, plus possibly a nebula and Oxygen III filter. However, it works well with low-powered telescopes. The other scope we have has an aperture of 80 mm. For all of them, there is a nice case included, though it is not made of plastic and may scratch easily. When they're in the case, it's difficult to tell if they're there or not. If you don't label them in the carrying case, you'll have to hunt for the color you want, which can be frustrating when Jupiter is flying by in your eyepiece and you're trying to find colors or swap them out.

Filters of high quality There are no cases made of plastic
4/5

Overall, this is a good product that does exactly what it should. They didn't come in their own individual plastic cases, which was a little disappointing. They come in two separate cases, each with four slots and small slot holders (I'll try to upload a picture later). However, it'll only be a matter of time before one of these is scratched, causing them to pull in and out.
