When a ETX is used, Mercury to Neptune can be seen This telescope has a focal length of 125mm. A colored dot, about the size of an unsharpened #2 pencil draw, can be seen in Uranus and Neptune. Mercury comes in at a dime using the 23mm, and Saturn comes in as a dime using the 23mm. This is the first time I have been out in a long time. The approach to Mars slipped my mind. You need to take into account what telescope you are using as well. The outer planets can be seen very clearly through the telescope. To use this telescope, you will need one that is at least 5 feet tall. It is better to have a large mirror. Few telescopes use them because they are exceedingly expensive, and they are the best, but they are among the most expensive.

I was surprised to see the package arrive ahead of schedule. The case appears to be sturdy and looks good. The only thing that I did not like was receiving lenses that were not as described 18mm and 9mm, which was a bummer since I got the telescope along with 9mm. I also noticed that the filter cases are scratched up ( no big deal). However, the filters are just as bad. I think I obtained Several of the colored filters also are not in accordance with the description. When I test out the units over the weekend, I will update my review. As a result of careful reading, I can confirm that the item description with regard to the focal lens is incorrect and that you actually receive 6mm, 9mm, 13mm, 18mm and 32mm (see picture). Aside from this minor complaint, I have no other issues. Observe the sky and enjoy it.
These eyepieces fit within a reasonable price range. A set of colour filters has been created to produce better images of planets and nebulae. For the other 4000 series eyepieces and colour filters that are not included in this set, the Foam in the case could be modified for a better fit. It is not possible to use the other color filters described in the instruction flyer. My call to Meade regarding these eyepieces has been answered. Although I didn't know if they would have worked with the f/ focal length, they would have most likely. These will work on all Meade telescopes, according to Meade technical support.
The three items that should be in the holes were in the holes, but the three on top with the lid crushed down on top of them were lying on their side.
In addition to the 2X Barlow, the eye pieces are crisp and bright, so they are a good start and will even satisfy the requirements as they stand alone. I like the way it looks and how well it is made. use these with the AR102 refactor mainly to photograph double stars and you can't see any fringing around the stars as I did in my original photo. The Meade 4000 series is extremely good value and has a very good reputation among astronomers.
It was fun to see how different the filters looked.
The scopes I have are better than those that came with it. A nice case and an adequate set of filters can get you started. Starting with a good base set will allow you to upgrade your eyepieces later on.
It is great to store and transport all my stuff in this case. Very good value for the money!.
It is a pleasure to use these eyepieces and filters. Meade, you did a great job!.
