Questions & Answers

A filter can be applied to it if it has a threaded design?

In fact, yes. There is a threaded filter in it.

Are my images going to be inverted if I do this? It is still my wish to use my telescope for day-time viewing. ?

Inverting the image will still result in the inverted image. As for the "enhanced" part, it concerns the reflection percent versus the standard aluminum coating. In the Standard category, 94% are graded whereas in the Enhanced category, 97-99% are rated There is the same reflection percentage on the Diaelectric coating as on the overcoat, but there is tighter tolerance on the overcoat to In the grand scheme of things, 5% seems insignificant, but add them all This is especially true in a Schmidt-type A cass, or other optical tube with a multiple mirrors. As some light enters the eyepiece, it is reduced or scattered or absorbed by the primary, secondary, right angle, or some other mirror at the So it's a loss of light. It is less obvious in refractors as there are no mirrors besides diagonal ones. *I have one of these and am happy with it so far. Depending on the scope I will be using, I will swap out this scope for another

An old telescope must be replaced before a new one can be used
5/5

As one of the weak links in the optical chain, diagonals in a scope are the weak link. It's nothing more than Replace your damaged glass mirror with a polished metal diagonal if you desire to increase the quality of your viewing. Years ago, I would have liked to have done it.

I don't know
3/5

There are some problems with this diagonal. Optically, it seems fine, but mechanically it is out of alignment. There was a separation between the body of the diagonal and the barrel of the eyepiece. I would put in an eyepiece, and the eyepiece would actually tilt slightly depending on the angle the scope was pointed in. There were times when the eyepiece would move so much that it seriously impacted No matter how tight or how tight you screw it, you will not be able to I agreed to the He welded it back together, and it now works perfectly. It may look ugly now, but it's hard to tell in the dark, he he. The situation shouldn't be like that, however. In most of the other diagonals I've had, the barrel and body were either attached or movable.

Efficient in terms of lighting
5/5

Mirror 1, the enhanced version. By using a diagonal of 25 inches, you will receive an increased amount of light into your eyepiece. In addition to the sleeve, this Orion model features an embossed sleeve that fits within the By loosening the focuser set screws slightly, you can prevent the diagonal from falling to the ground, saving both the diagonal and the.

The style is nice

There are no colors on the edges. I like the fact that there are no color fringes, and that the edges are While there wasn't a drastic increase in brightness with the enhanced AL, it was definitely an upgrade compared to the original dime store diagonal that came with my Meade 102 Star Navigator.

This is exceptional
5/5

Compared to a stock eyepiece that comes with cheaper scopes, this one has an incredible diagonal and allows objects to be clearly seen. Images that are sharper, brighter, and have greater.
