Questions & Answers

The lens has a fine focuser, does it not? It is difficult to tell what rubber grip is used ?

When the eyepiece is in diagonal position, you twist the rubber grip to lock it in place. You can gain more leverage by using the screw on the side. By clamping firmly into the diagonal, the eyepiece is held in place. In addition to allowing the eyepiece to be positioned at a 90-degree angle, the diagonal also enables you to look straight through the telescope instead of it being straight into the rear. No focusing is done by it.

Are there any cases included with it?

There is not a case to keep it in I use the case that came with my 2" Celestron diaganol.

The 1. Is included. Can you tell me what the 25 adapter is?

It doesn't work in that way

The model number for this device is CLdiag- Would you mind if I thanked ?

Is it correct that the full name of the product is Baader MaxBright 2" Clicklock Mirror Diagonal -- The CLDIG Test

Selected User Reviews For Baader Planetarium 2-Inch Clicklock Mirror Diagonal Eyepiece

The product is of good quality, and it was well packed and shipped from the UK quickly
5/5

I really like this product at this price. A Celestron 8" HD Nexstar Evolution and a Baader Planetarium 8-inch are the perfect pairing for this We achieved great results with our 24 Mk IV. There is very good mirror quality in this diagonal which is made with quality materials. Changing eyepieces and securing them with the easy to operate click lock mechanism is extremely fast and easy. The product I received is excellent.

The Baader clicklock 2" diagonal is a great product at a great price
4/5

It is very easy to use, but also very expensive. Using my 14" EdgeHD Celestron CGEM-14, I was able to attach it to the unit The tube from the existing 2" diagonal that came with the telescope was used for the DX. My favorite feature is being able to switch between the two pieces without having to release 2 screws that might be hard to get loose The eyepieces I am using are very heavy Celestron, Explore Scientific, and TeleVue and all of them are in the diagonal up side down or in any other angle the telescope is pointed until I Clicklock rings are extremely easy to use, and comes out quite easily when you move them. We'll never have to scratch or dent expensive eyepieces again with screws that dig into their sides. It is only because I thought it was so expensive that I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. In the event that Baader is able to design a clicklock attachment that screws into existing 2" diagonal housings, it would be very beneficial. As a result, I have a spare 2" scope that came with it I will never.

Diagonal mirror made of solid material
3/5

Definitely another amazing product from Baader, product of excellent quality with a very As for the three stars, they are given simply because of the package I received from Germany, which was manually sealed with transparent tape, making it appear dubious relative to the price.

I am very happy with the quality and build of the product
5/5

I am very happy with the quality and build of the product. It is practically impossible to see a mirror since it is so perfect. Although there is nothing wrong with the clicklock, it tends to unscrew from the diagonal when you release it. I think they could have used some tiny allen screws to hold the clicklock to the diagonal arms. Besides that, the diagonal appears to be very secure and holds all the heavy eyepieces and cameras well.

There has never been a better star diagonal in my opinion
5/5

In terms of star diagonals, Baader is the king. A star diagonal like this is the best I have In addition to having scratch-proof mirrors, it has the patented Baader Clicklock mechanism making connection to my SCT scope a quick and secure operation. I appreciate the great work you're doing,.

A diagonal like this is very high quality, one that you may never need to A diagonal of this quality is truly remarkable
5/5

Any 2" barrel accessory I've put in it with little force on the ring is easily secured with the click lock Unlike any other 2" diagonal I've seen, this one has a larger clear opening than I could have ever imagined. once, I have the ability to use my 2" eyepieces with a path of light that is guaranteed to be unobstructed. Large eyepieces seem to increase the amount of light passing through them. An example would be my 35mm Panoptic camera, which has a very large When I used my stock 2" diagonals, it didn't give me very clear images. Nevertheless, I'm finding that images viewed through my 6" refractor look noticeably brighter thanks to this diagonal. M31 and other dim large objects have a tendency to stand out in the dim light. There is a 2" barrel that unscrews so you can screw the diagonal straight up onto the SCT. Since the diagonal will not be able to be rotated, I don't recommend this solution. For Schmidt/Maksutov Cassegrains, I recommend using the Baader SCT click lock adapter which is very reliable. Placing that on your SCT and plopping in this diagonal will yield the most rewarding I believe that this is a highly expensive diagonal that no one is likely to replace ever again. A Seibert Optics diagonal in my opinion is the only one that has a chance of ever being There is no doubt that this diagonal is of the highest Although I am not required to recommend this diagonal to other people because of the click lock design. It has been reported that some people's alignment is Although I have never tried it, it should be possible to adjust the collimation. Mirrors don't reflect light in the same way as gold mirrors do, but this one does a far better job than most. The hard coatings that Baader does sure make a good mirror shine should you ever need to clean it.

The best value in the market
5/5

The engine is beautifully engineered and it performs like a dream. Please take note of the following Besides the Baader 2 to 1, I include the Baader 3 to This adapter is 25 watts. A set of Pentax SMC slightly smaller eyepieces with a machined adapter fits the 1. I also have a set of Pentax SMC larger diameter eyepieces. There is no shoulder on the opening of 25. when I used the unique twist to release mechanism of the eyepiece holder for the first time, everything fell on Aside from the cleaning being successful, the surface of the mirror shows no obvious signs of damage. It was a good thing I was born. Do not let your guard down! I am very pleased with this.
