I'm not sure why I returned it so soon after opening it. Plastic that is extremely inexpensive. Also, the lighting is insufficient.

CONTROL OF QUALITY IS INAPPROPRIATE. The concept is fantastic; however, whether it is worth the price is debatable. I would have preferred a metal or slightly thicker plastic backdrop, but since it will not be moved frequently, it may suffice. They recommend using a screwdriver to avoid breaking the tabs on the light units, which are fairly inexpensive. Even with a screwdriver, prying these tabs up breaks them easily. The light units look like something you'd find at a dollar store. The metal frame that holds the lights is flimsy in the middle and needs braces to hold it in place. br>br>Quality control is my primary concern with this unit. Because the bulbs were packed at the bottom of the box and heavy items were placed on top, the bulbs were smashed completely. This was packaged at MyStudio and is not available on Amazon. Another issue was with the reflectors, which had holes that were not properly drilled. They weren't just off by a little, but by a lot. I've built a lot of things and am not a beginner when it comes to putting things together or following instructions. Both the metal and the reflectors had a problem with their holes. Last but not least, you'll notice in the picture that the two backgrounds fit snugly together, but in reality, they only fit at the bottom, leaving about a 1/2 inch gap at the top. If you're handy, you'll be able to fix this; if not, I recommend passing on this until they fix their quality control issues. Overall, it's a good unit. br>br> Definitely not worth their high asking price. I would say 50% overpriced. Even if these issues were resolved, I'm not sure I'd recommend it to someone. maybe. I won't return it because I can fix most of the problems myself, but if you're not handy, don't bother.
This is a very straightforward concept that works extremely well. Sales are aided by images that are free of shadows. Background colors can sometimes detract from the item being sold. It's a little awkward to put together on your own, but it's not impossible.
I believe they could have done a lot better for the money.
The problem was solved in less than five minutes after a single phone call to Pro Cyc's service department. After 48 hours, I got the missing piece. I'm now using the system to create stunning photographs for a set of instruction manuals I'm writing for a small manufacturing firm. For a great product, you get excellent customer service.
