A few of the products I own from Selens are In buying this reflector, I opened it, and made sure it folded well, but I didn't notice the stains on the white reflector - which is bluish in color, with dirt all over it. It looks like the reflector was used as a tablecloth. Having surpassed my warranty by 2 days, I cannot return the item, and now I own a piece of junk. You may not be able to tell from the picture, but about 1/3 of the reflector has a yellowish band of debris/discoloration running through it.
Are there any quality controls in place? The fact that ALL three corners of the diffuser were stained after unzipping the diffuser was the greatest disappointment. Right below every single one of them, there were huge stains. It is single. It's a handle. How did it slip through our notice? The pictures do not do it justice. Customer dissatisfaction is that they do not want to spend their money on purchasing a product, then having to spend their time repackaging and printing out a return label, and driving to the UPS store (in the middle of COVID) in order Streamlining doesn't need to eliminate stains, but how do you reduce three stains to a manageable size? I know you want to! Is there anyway to explain that? Anyway, if only the diffuser were high quality, that would be great. It's the stains, however, that I can't stand. As another customer noted (see the images), we will follow up on this. Amazon has just provided me with a replacement. Please don't have yellow stains at the beginning of this one, I hope. *By the way, I never leave negative reviews on Amazon (this is my only one), because mistakes happen, but I truly believe someone either tried to pull a fast one by sending this off the way it was or tried to send this off with a blindfold on.
Though I appreciate the handles, it makes the tool much easier to use, especially when it is so large. I also appreciate the fact that it has multiple options, but honestly, I use the white reflector most often. In addition to this, if you need anything else, I have It's almost big enough to also serve as a background (especially for close up portraits and young children). I have used it for those things as well but not for other things. The following points should be considered Using a big reflector outdoors becomes a SAIL if it is exposed to the wind, so I keep a string in the case together with mine to tie it to something. Better still, I have an assistant to hold it (in order not to suffer an injury).
My first reaction when it finally arrived was disappointment, as it seems to have sustained some serious damage on the Golden side. To be honest, the material was flaking off, which causes me to be concerned about its lifespan.
Our project required a large reflector, and this one was perfect for the job. They have a nice look to them. As soon as I opened the package, I was overwhelmed with a strong chemical smell. Even though it is large and hard to refold, you can do it. As far as quality is concerned, it is at least A lightweight zipper secures the case, which is made from very thin material. This thin material is used for the reflector as well. We will probably have enough to last us for A full time photographer is what we do. I will spend a few more bucks and get one from a US company that is better made next time. We will be able to use it for our purposes.
While this is a fairly easy item to fold, it can be difficult to store. According to a previous comment, I learned how to fold the reflector by watching YouTube videos. While it is somewhat difficult to grasp at first, once you get the hang of it you will be amazed what a huge difference it makes. I like how well made this reflector is and how durable it seems to be. As a portrait photographer in the outdoor setting, I'm looking forward to utilizing it.
This is a great set at a great price. There are many shapes and sizes available. This is the one I chose Ideally, it would be rectangular in size and easy to take along. There's something appealing about the handles on these Carry it easily with a single hand. It is challenging to fold anything like this, but I might just be a picky eater.
