Questions & Answers

With my ad200, I purchased this unit as well. I am unable to attach the unit. Would I need to buy a special bracket in order to mount this?

A bare bulb head of the AD200 is required in order to use this reflector. On your flash, look for the barebulb head and unscrew the round button on one side. Attach the reflector all the way to the bottom of the socket. When you find the hole that locks it on the head, turn the reflector clockwise until you find the notch that locks it. Having locked it, turn the round button on the side of the head clockwise until it is snug. I'll leave it at that!

Could this be used to replace a 7" reflector or is it too narrow for this purpose?

The answer is yes, I think. You could add diffusion and relocate it away from the BG a bit, according to your preferences.

How does the ad work for you? What is the best way to boost the output of the ad200 with the s2 in a softbox or with an umbrella?

In fact, yes. However, best results are achieved when used with umbrellas or softboxes larger than 30", as well as the flash facing toward the back of your modifier, half way or further away from

What is the effectiveness of the diffuser?

As a result, it spreads the light in a circular pattern, while softening it by not too much (size does matter). The purpose of this product is to be an effective replacement for a hardbox or unbrella, however it's not exactly the same. With a 1 1/2 stop loss of power, the ring reflector is superior to the rectangular one that comes with the unit.

A significant improvement in barefoot performance The quality of the flash light
5/5

My website, Strobist, focuses on the Godox AD200 and I've become a huge fan of this camera. In spite of all its advantages, the fresnel reflector included in the flash kit (also known as the "bare head") has some pretty poor points. In my opinion, this is the worst dispersion pattern I have ever witnessed. I feel like I'm watching a Michael Bay movie with a lens flare. This is not a good thing. You can fix this easily with a $7. Fortunately, the fix is simple. There are 99 parabolic or pebbled reflectors. Compared to before, the pattern of the light is greatly I have attached a comparison photo for your reference. As a matter of fact, the flash can now be used without an umbrella or soft box, which was previously not possible. The addition of a Snap-On the addition of a snap-on It is also great to have a diffuser on. Take note of the following A soft light is not created by a diffuser. Distance and wavelength are factors that determine how far and how fast the light travels. In any case, it does enhance the dispersion of the light beam, which can be.

I like the kit and it works well with each of my It's similar to the kit that comes with gels and a grid, but this kit has just the reflector and You're going to get all you need most of the time, especially if it's an on-location shoot and you have to handle mods on the fly
5/5

Well-made, the reflector provides directional lighting that is even and uniform. Light is softened by the diffuser and output is reduced by about half a stop. The diffuser does a lot to make the light much less contrasty. I almost always use it all the time.

The customer service at Godox has been terrible
3/5

I loved my Godox Products (TT685N and two AD200s) until one of the AD200s of mine stopped syncing in manual mode (of course it was syncing I have emailed Godox five times in the past three weeks, but they have not returned my emails. Calling them from outside the country is not an option, so we can't do that. My last step was to contact Amazon customer service, who also tried contacting Godox but with the same result. Not a thing. As a gesture of good faith, Amazon refunded the $200. It is the exact same system that I have purchased before, but I am glad to have outstanding customer support with Adorama's Evolv line. Godox is to be avoided - There is a benefit to buying branded products when things suddenly stop working and it would be nice to know that you can get In my opinion, the AD200 deserves two stars, since the unit itself (except for the glitch) deserves a 5 and the customer service deserves a 0. Two plus two is two, and I sat down with my abacus, a slide rule, and counted on my toes.

This is a basic strobe reflector! Many of the Godox strobes are compatible with this
5/5

A great deal of compatibility exists in the Godox line! In that case, I use it with the AD360 II Pack, and I use a cord so I can hold or position it wherever I need it to be. I really like the shape and quality of the light. The shot can be used for Portraits, or for photojournalism, it all depends on how you position it. There is something different about the Godox line It is not out to make you broke, buying every accessory they have they include what you need, and most of the pieces work with a number of the products they sell. It is an excellent choice to add Godox Lighting Gear to your photography kit!.

I have tested the cover on my Cheetah light, and it fits well
4/5

As I changed between camera bags I somehow managed to lose the reflector on my Cheetah light. I have tested the cover on my Cheetah light, and it fits well.

If you like to experiment with your lighting, you should pick one up
4/5

With the Godox or the evolv 200, you should try a set of these with it. It's cheap and convenient to take along on location, works great on the strobes it's made for, and you won't regret.

You can use it for your creative purposes! Allows for a greater amount of light to come out, and to focus in on a specific I like the fact that it is small and light (weightwise) They are cheap as well
5/5

LOL. It is helpful to have a diffuser (even though it is not a softbox) for those tough shots.

I was expecting this to work
4/5

The desired result has been achieved! The diffuser seems to be on the loose side, but it hasn't fallen off yet. I have the AD200 and it works fine.
