The value for money of the lens hood is unbeatable. I've been using it for a while now, and it fits perfectly and protects the lens against unwanted light and accidental bumps. Canon RF lens hoods feature a locking button similar to their EOS pro RF lenses, and they can be reversed out of the way without a problem. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the materials, which was a bit thinner than the official Canon lens hoods. To reduce the reflection of light, the interior of the hood is textured.

This hood has a simple design that incorporates a mounting dot that is easy to observe and locate when attaching your A small button makes it easy to remove the hood. It is locked into place with a locking mechanism. Furthermore, it is reversible so you can keep the hood on when not in use, but you won't be able to use the control ring on the RF lens when doing so. This is an excellent lens hood in all.
Canon's idea of a hood was an expensive thin piece of metal for close-ups. We had no alternative for those of us who wanted to use the 35mm lens for anything other than macro. By using an innovative design, this closes that gap.
