It was a threat to the The lens hood from the 63mm lens does not fit the 18mm Almost every kit lens comes with a 55mm IS or IS II The physical mount however will be attached to the new Canon 18D While the 55mm IS has STM, at 18 and 24mm, you will experience extremely strong and unacceptable vignetting (dark corners). It fits lenses up to 55mm long and is designed for zoom lenses like the Canon 55-200mm This 150mm IS STM lens is intended for professional use. Designed to be used with your kit lens, Canon's EW-E90 lens hoods It only has a 60C temperature range and a length of 20mm. You're going to be disappointed, so I apologize. Thanks so much for your kind words.
You would have different results depending on the type of lens you are using. Some lenses are straight and do not twist or move when you change focal length or focus, while There is a good chance that a 50mm to 250mm lens will twist or turn, that is why it has a full cup-like hood rather than a hood that is cut away in four Lenses with focal lengths from 14mm to 50mm are less likely to twist than lenses with focal lengths from 50mm to 250mm. You can determine which MM size suits your lens cap by looking at it. We wish you luck and great photos in all your future endeavors. I am Stanley

The UV filter you refer to may be what you mean. You can use any filter for this lens since it is bayonet fitting and does not require threading on the lens. Make sure the filter has the right diameter before you buy it.

Getting this hood is more about protecting my zoom lens than protecting me from glare, although both functions will be accomplished. For something that protects your investment, it's not a lot to pay. The thought of getting a knock-off, cheaper model crossed my mind Despite trying to get a clear answer as to whether it would actually fit my lens, I was unable to do so. It is time-consuming to return items by using Amazon, so I opted for a physical card. The hood is a great improvement because I could bump the camera without worrying about the impact of the hood if I were to bump it on something. I just returned from the Amazon Rainforest in Ecuador and spend a great deal of time with my camera hanging around my neck.
It has the following important characteristics I can wear it comfortably because it's 55-inches long The 250 mm Canon ST lens is the best fit for me (I have tried others and they did not work). I found it easy to put the lens on. The logo will be locked in if you put it at 9 o'clock and twist it. There is no need to worry about it falling off. It is securely fastened to your When you are wearing the lens cap, you can put this on the lens. When you do not use the lens, you can reverse the lens hood and put it on the lens to store it in your camera bag. It eliminates flare very effectively when the lens hood is used. As well as protecting the lens from rain and bumps, the lens hood also protects the lens from some small dents and scratches. Having the glass on your head won't cause you to bump it. There is only one drawback the price. But when you consider how much a lens costs and how much time and money it costs to travel to where you're taking pictures, the cost of the lens hood and whether or not it's functional don't matter all that much.
If you want this lens, you should buy Canon! It forms part of the EF 55 series. The STM is 250mm in diameter. I have tried two other brands in an attempt to save money, but did not have any luck. The one that was separated had to be kept separate. I hate it. ET-500 is a powerful digital camera I love the 63, you just turn it a quarter turn to lock it on for use - it works nicely - As an alternative It is best to flip it backwards and lock it on for lens storage. In storage position, this hood is fully functional and fully capable of protecting the camera and lens. An ideal fit that is snug and precise. My only regret is that we didn't buy this hood before the other junk ones.
This is the same solid and overpriced hood that all Canon hoods are. It is recommended that all Canon and Nikon lenses come with their respective The fact they don't annoys me. If you can't eliminate them, at least keep the price low. Price gouging takes a star away from the rating.
To compare, I ordered some hoods made by 3rd parties for some other lenses, which were just as good and cost less than half of.
EF 55-is well suited to the construction and design of this cap The lens has a focal length of 250mm. Impact and stray light are well protected by this case.
The other Lens Hood I had in Yellowstone had been lost by my husband, so I had to buy a new one. I found this to be very useful.
Designed to fit the Canon EF-S The following statutes are applicable s 55-59 The Fotasy HET-250mm lens hood fits perfectly with the 250mm and is a correct hood for the lens, unlike the Fotasy HET-200 63, which is not correct. I ordered two of those before giving up and buying the Canon brand.
The Canon hood is large, which you need for a lens of this size. The Fotasy hood is too shallow to fit on this lens. In comparison to my other hoods, the Fotasy is exactly the same as it is for the 18-inch Lenses with a focal length of 55mm are standard.
