Questions & Answers

Is this dish suitable for this item? Here's the link Go to http//www. The Amazon website. Fotodiox www.fotodiox.com The beauty of The honeycomb - The speedring - Does standard/dp/b0048waazq exist? Do you want to refer to this reference as pe_623860_70668520?

It would be perfect to use this bracket with that beauty dish if it has a Bowens mount (and it says it does). At the moment, I'm using Bowens mount soft boxes with it.

The umbrella octagon is 32"/80cm in dimension. Will this go with it?

The umbrella hole is intended for use with an umbrella. It's possible to mount ANY bowens mount softbox on a tripod. You can also get a Godox umbrella softbox for speedlights that has a zipper so that you can put the stand through the hole, close it up, and then mount the bracket on the stand.

This bracket is described as being outdoor compatible, but can it be used outside? It is only intended for studio and indoor use, or is it for both?

Besides being used outdoors, it can also be used inside.

This unit is solid but the swivel disks are interlocking, so they need I found the product of high quality and it looks to be doing its job in holding the speedlight
4/5

Besides being able to accept other Bowens mount accessories, this product is also very sturdily constructed. While the swivel adjustment allows the speedlight to adjust, it is very difficult to position when you have only seconds to shift the light, especially when you're Those teeth are interlocked and you need to break them apart. There is no way to make quick adjustments to the current design. This can be fixed by removing the retaining bolt and the screw. You can replace the circular interlocking disk with a plastic piece if you melt the base. There are no restrictions on the type of plastic you can use. This is the original locking disk in a flexible CD case, cut to the same size as the original case. In order to cut out the center hole, a center portion of the board was cut and the center hole was cut out. The ability to make minor to major adjustments to the flash head position can be made more easily and quickly by making this engineering modification. The locking lever can be loosen slightly and the bracket can be held with no problem. Adjustment of this type allows for quick and easy adjustment due to the just-right amount of friction. In the attached photo, you can see the basics of how this was achieved. It works very well with any speedlight or light modifier that I've tested. Trying replacing only one interlocking disk and seeing how it holds up will help you decide if you need to replace more. The 4 is a good result for me. I would have given 5 stars if not for the fact that the Neewer Engineers did not mess up the product and made it a little more substantial in We need to replace the current two sided screw handle with a four sided screw handle, as the current design is flawed. It would be easier and quicker to mount a light stand with this method.

Bowens mount holder that offers good strength
5/5

There is a lot of power in this product! This can be used to attach small modifiers to the subject, such as a snoot or a 24-inch soft box (see the photo), or something as large as a 48-inch Octobox (see the picture). To lighten the load of my outdoor setup with a strobe and battery pack, I would like to have a total of three or four. They are amazing products that can help you learn the art of photography at the next level. I suggest you buy this because you won't be sorry if you have a few in your kitbag. The Bowens mount can be used with anything that has a wireless connection.

It is simple and functional but not the most secure
4/5

I would prefer something that is a little stronger and more well thought out. This product meets my needs but I'd prefer something a little more sturdy and solid instead. I will begin with a discussion of the physical aspect. I suspect that it is mostly made of a high density plastic, since it is mostly made of that. Despite the fact that some modern composite materials can be very durable and robust, they do not inspire confidence in me. I feel comfortable tightening the light stand mount down quite firmly, so I can see how long it will last. The light stand mount has a metal tube inside, and the bolt fastener feels reasonably robust. As well as the mechanism to hold the flash in place, it seems sensible. I wonder if the mount for the accessories can withstand the largest accessory I'll be using, a 1m octobox, though it remains to be seen how tough it will be. As for the racheting tilt mechanism, I'm concerned that it feels flimsy, so I'm not sure how long it will hold up.

So on to usage. Insert the flash and turn the bolt until it's held in place until it is locked in In the case where one surface of your flash is flat, the platform it rests on provides plenty of To tighten it further (and not further), I tighen it to the point where the flash can't be easily pulled out. In my opinion, it's best to be cautious with over tightening the flash head, so it's probably better to be conservative. Adding an accessory to the mount is as simple as inserting it into the retaining pin and turning it until it clicks. While the mount is a little loose once it is installed, it does not feel as if it is in danger of coming loose, and should not be a problem when most users use it for their purposes. Fitting an umbrella involves sliding it through the hole at the bottom of the ring after loosening the bolt, and then adjusting it. With an umbrella you should tighten it enough that it is not easily pulled out and no more. This is especially true if it is a cheap umbrella whose shaft will dent quickly. The two sized soft boxes and one sized umbrella (shoot-through and reflector) have been tested for this. The flash head is usually positioned so that the rear light (ready light/control panel) is facing me and the body of the flash is hanging as low as possible with soft boxes. You cannot tilt an umbrella to let the flash hang down, since the umbrella shaft is in the way. Nonetheless, it is still possible to rotate the flash to face you and rest it on the shaft of the umbrella (which feels entirely safe). Now, how does it work to reposition the product? The light stands are usually capable of carrying a good amount of weight, so I just rotate the whole stand when I need The angle is slightly different when tilting the story. on the end of the handle has a push-button that disengages the ratchet so it can be cranked down little by little without interfering with the accessory mounted. Although it feels robust, I am somewhat concerned about the durability of the ratchet mechanism because I feel it is plastic. I also dislike that the materials used are low quality, but overall these work and are acceptable for the price. I would have preferred to have paid twice as much for something that was more precisely constructed.

This is a great option for speedlights in diffusers
4/5

There is a speedlight that goes through the middle and can be tucked in using the large knob The device works well and is quite simple to use. This Bowens mount is highly adaptable, allowing a wide range of diffusers to be used. Now that I have four of these, I have replaced all the worn out shoes My light stands were mounted with hardware I had. It used to be a concern of mine to break the hotshoes off my speedlights, but this has made me feel less apprehensive. Keeping the speedlight centered inside whatever diffuser you use instead of sitting high due to sitting flat just below the umprella socket and centered within the bowens ring, the speedlight can now be seen from all directions. Is it too much to ask for There are indeed some heavyweight options available for these. They are made from heavy plastic to support whatever diffuser you desire to attach. I would rather see one that is lighter in weight and has a USB port.
