I've tried them on all of my Canon cameras with no problems. Below is a list of the cameras I own. There is no question that these will work on any Canon DSLR, and probably on their mirrorless cameras as well. Available for the 5D mkIV, 90D, 80D, and SL2, these will fit everything. Since I don't own a film camera, I don't know whether or not they will work on older FD These fitted my Canon because the back of the covers need to be tapered to fit all the way into the shoe, having a different form factor than other cameras. The ones that are strait aren't going to work unless they are cut You can see the photos here. Note Please read the following carefully. The best choice is to mount one of these onto your hotshoe if you have a camera that is weather-sealed in any way. In fact, the #1 way water gets into your camera is through the hotshoe, followed closely by the battery door. Obviously, this doesn't take into account people who aren't using sealed lenses or have foolishly tried to change their lenses, batteries, or memory cards while wet! While it won't guarantee that water won't get into the hotshoe, it should increase your chances of preventing it. Unless your camera has a sealed lens, this can do little for you other than conceal the plate on your camera.
The unique design of these wheels allows them to fit snugly into Canon hot shoes while still allowing the on-board camera to work The flash will pop up on your camera. essential if you plan to use your online account Zooming in on a camera Make use of the up flash to trigger external flashes or use it as a fill light when needed. Would like to keep - but not have to remove it - and keep track of it I love the tiny cover for my hot shoes. hot shoe covers don't fit as well as the covers I purchased from Richard Franiec ten years ago for each of my Canon digital cameras. (Each was machined from a plastic block. According to my memory, they cost about $10 a piece. It will work with my 7D) There are three types of 50D type II, type 7D, and type 5D. There were four covers I received, two of which snapped into place well, but two others did As they are loose to the point of easily being knocked out, they are easy to hit. You can see arrows pointing towards the numbers in the photo. In the two that snap in, you will find the number "2" and in the two that do not, you will find They may be injection numbers, I guess. It was made in a cavity in a mold. If I have a chance, I'll swap the two loose number 1s for two that snap in and stay in place. It may be necessary to modify them so they will stay in place if I can't. applied a piece of Gorilla duct tape across the entire back half of the underside and it made a significant difference in keeping Over the next few days or weeks, I'll try to include a photo. you have a Canon with a hot shoe, these are the ones you want as they do not press the button that tells your camera you have something on If you do (which you do, but you'd rather the camera ignore them 2) I knocked off a star because I have to modify two of the four to get them to work well. The overall impression I have is I would recommend it. Good price and a good product.
All 4 in the pack that I received fit perfectly in both hot shoes of my two EOS Rs and were consistent from one shoe to another. Comparing them to my original Canon protector, they both look the same on the underside. The difference is in the grip and traction design, and obviously in the Canon The snapping on these did not have the same "snap" that you find on some, so I rated them as "almost perfect. " The Canon has the same "in" feel as the one from Canon. The screws have a good hold, however, and do not fall out. In addition to being so affordable, they are also high quality. 4 out of 5 stars, if I were to rate it. A 5 out of 5 rating from me would be ideal.
I am not certain if these hot shoe covers fit other makes and models of cameras, but they do fit the Canon 70D and 90D as We received four pairs of precisely fitting shirts in the batch. It's a nice feeling to have the covers in wet or dusty environments. The price is reasonable, having spares handy, in case they get lost on the shoot is also a plus. These covers are definitely going to be used by me in the future.
I know some people have eos M6 mkII and they don't want to modify the screen, which will prevent the screen from folding completely, so you might want to find smaller ones or modify the existing ones with strong scissors. They also slip out just as easily as Canon's and I have already lost two of them.
Although it's a great camera, I am not convinced that it fits all the cameras on your list. This set up clicked into place securely onto my Canon 5D I couldn't get it to click and lock into place on either my T7i or my EOS R. In light of the fact that they don't lock on these cameras, we will have to see how long it will be before they slip out of place and fall off. I am not going to order more from a different source since I'm not sure the results will For the 5d, I would give it 10 points, but for the others, I would give it 0.
Keeps junk out of the hot shoe and protects a potential weak point.
*Who in the hell thought up the category names for the features? It is warm. Is that true? That has something to do with plastic, doesn't it?.
I did not receive a hot shoe protector with my Canon cameras It was something I loved having when I was a Fuji user. I got this 4-pack Take one with me and pack it into my 70D, RF, The solutions that were provided worked well for everyone and stayed put. I found it to be a bit expensive for what you're getting, but I think it's worth it. Protect the shoe, keep it clean and prevent snags with this high quality shoe leather.
