Someone on the boards has reported that this strobe speedring blocks some of the light? If they are the same as other brands, then they are the same. ?

Although I'm not 100% sure I understand your question, I'll give it a go anyway. At the most basic level, this "blocks" some light, but it only blocks light from the sides of the bulb, not light from its center. As far as I know, the bulb of my strobe extends beyond the front edge of this adapter, and the inside of the adapter is somewhat reflective anyway, so it's more like the light is just redirected forward rather than lost out the sides. Based on what I can see, it doesn't really block any light as far as functionality is concerned. I'm not sure if you have the same strobe I do, so that's not a guarantee.
