Thanks for visiting. Contrary to what was stated, the item It is true that the 67mm filter I received from the Amazon seller Alvena Willien Frost is a functional front element protector, but it is not (the surface of the glass is highly reflective and doesn't cast a color cast when reflected light is incident on it)
3/5

My lens protector was the "basic" model that was $50, instead of the high quality multi-layer that was $80 I have decided that returning this comparatively inexpensive item would be more trouble than it is worth, so I am keeping it and in the future I will shop at other sellers besides Alvena Willien Frost for my photographic accessories. IMPORTANT NOTE It has been a genuine Hoya product for all other filters I have bought through other Amazon sellers.

The real one was real and the fake one was fake
3/5

It came from two different sellers and I got both of them. One of them may be a fake from Amazon itself. A "fake" or product from Amazon experienced a severe cleaning process, so it was considered a returned product. There are fingerprints and grease all over the ring and the glass. How did the previous buyer eat? Did he eat KFC or chips? There was no difference between the legits and the fakes, except that the legit was brand new, spotless and perfect. A "fake" from Amazon does not come from any country, nor does it come from the Philippines. Due to Amazon's warranty policy covering packaging serial numbers, it is not possible for me to send Hoya the bar code to check the legitimacy of the product. Neither the serial number nor the barcode was visible on the legit. There seems to be something wrong with the Amazon product. It's a great filter and I come from a legit product, so I am comfortable sharing my opinion. At the moment I am using my Sigma 16mm f1 on it. The Sony A6000 supports four of them. are exactly as they are without the filter, and there are no side effects when streaming or using the webcam. A very impressive product. An Amazon "fake" or imitation product that I reviewed. Despite being sealed, is the product still filthy or has the seal been I am currently using a Sigma 16mm f1 lens. My Canon EOS M200 is equipped with 4. Pictures and videos taken with the camera seem to be the same quality, but neither is taken outdoors
*Cross-protection is what this product is actually designed for. The product would be 5 stars if both the delivery (packaging) and quality were the same. The one that was authentic and the one that was fake both rated 5 stars.

Has the benefit of working and being relatively inexpensive
5/5

UV(O) made in Japan is allegedly supposed to have better coating, however, since I use it on my Sigma 100-processed camera, I'm not sure how much difference there is A 400mm lens with a lens hood is not prone to glare in any case, so it didn't seem to matter to me since light transmission doesn't seem to be affected one way or the other If you're using it on a lens paired with a high resolution behemoth like a D850 or A9, it may or may not make a difference. The reason I prefer cheap UV filters is that I have had to replace them in the past due to random breaks/scratches as well as heavy usage. This allows me to essentially leave the lens cap off permanently and simply carry the lens around without having to worry about damaging the front element. amounts of dust will not affect image quality (grease smears are another story entirely), and the protector is very easy to clean. I use this protector on tables, benches, chairs, and have also hiked through Banff with it The edges of the glass have already worn a little bit, but the glass remains scratch-free as of this writing. I find it to be effective!.

The cheapest insurance in the world
5/5

Having published professionally, I understand the immense benefits of adding lenses with a glass filter to their threaded filter rings. I think it is way too easy to scratch the surface of a camera lens with a finger or an injury involving a solid object. In addition to providing tremendous protection against all of the above, a removable piece of glass can also be easily replaced whereas the front surface of your lens cannot be. If I must clean the primary surface of my lenses, I do not go beyond where it is absolutely necessary to avoid microscopic scratches in the coating. If I had to clean a filter, I'd prefer a clear one. I will be working for my pro and semi-pro clients Here are some of the professional cameras I use.
