Questions & Answers
Having the 18-year-old is a great advantage I have a 140mm lens on my camera. It would be best to use a filter of 67mm.
You can easily check if your remote is compatible by pointing the remote at the lens mounted on the lens and looking for a red dot

At about $57, the Hoya filter is an affordable way to add FX to my rig. I may convert what I call my "little" camera to infrared in the future. Although shooting infrared this way requires a lot of patience and work (long exposures), the outcomes are worth it.
Here is a good filter for beginners. Sometimes, though, there will be a hotspot. I have attached an IR photo straight from the camera, and one that I have.
I bought it a few years ago. Having fiddled with it on my camera, I have used it on a couple of zoom lenses and it works. There will be no possibility of screwing it on a lens and snapping away with it. In order to take your own photographs, you will need a tripod, relatively long shutter speeds, and some post-processing skills. However, this is not as difficult as you might think with all the free information available online. You can find information about infrared photography by searching for "IR" or "infrared". My interest in IR was sparked by this filter so much so that I recently converted one of my old digital SLRs to the IR mode.
I like it a lot. It has only been a few days since I started using it and so far it has been fantastic. The build up quality is great. In the case of those who are newhouseholders, y suggest that you manual adjust your camera, compose the shot, and then focus, then put on your filter and snap away. You can find tutorials in youtube that can help you develop IR pictures in lightroom, although you might find it difficult at first.
I'm looking forward to having some fun while exploring the possibilities. Since I was out of town, I just received it, and I'm excited to try it out and see what I can do with it.
There were filters with a lower price, but for the Hoya's reputation for quality, I decided to go with it. Looking forward to seeing how it compares to infrared film in the spring.
Despite the delay, the filter arrived on time. I have been using it for two months without having any issues. Using my Nikon D300, I am able to take great infrared pictures. You must know how to take IR photos or learn how to do so in order to use the device. There are no instructions. You can learn a lot from the resources available.
