I first purchased the H and used it with my new camera to get acquainted with it. Later, when I bought the M style card, I noticed that the time between pressing the shutter button and seeing the image on the screen was longer. The M card reacts slowly, whereas the H xD card reacts quickly. The only advantage I can see in purchasing the older M style memory card is that some USB download drives do not work with the faster H style, so DO check to see if the H is compatible before purchasing a USB download drive.
I had been using 256-bit cards, but for a longer trip, I decided to upgrade to a larger card. It was a good decision on my part, and once the first card was full, I popped in my second 512 card. It's a bit pricey for such a small item, but it works well and meets my needs when traveling. br>br>I only gave it four stars because of the price; otherwise, it deserves five. Update. br>br> I just checked the new Amazon price, which is roughly half of what I paid a few months ago. At $14. 99 cents is a great deal, and I wouldn't mind paying it.
It really works. Fast writes (and deletes) are possible, and the camera's continuous shooting mode is supported. There is almost no lag at all. I was averaging about a shot every 1. 25 seconds on the highest quality setting. 5 - 0 if you use the long-distance method. term continuous shooting mode (the slowest continuous mode, but ideal for creating panorama shots). Even at the highest setting of 5 megapixels (lowest compression), more than 200 photos can be stored.
There are no mistakes or lags. It's perfect for my Olympus camera. The amount of time it takes to write is extremely reasonable. br>br>On a lighter note, this card was in my shirt pocket when I went to Longs to develop some photos, and I promptly forgot about it. The card was washed and dried several times in the washing machine. While I don't recommend this method of maintenance, it has worked flawlessly in the past, including with photos that were on the card at the time.
740 This card (which costs $46) was just delivered to me. 54, the price appears to change every time I log in) and it works fine; the 512MB size is great, and I can get 309 photos in SHQ on my Olympus C-300. 740 Unfortunately, this card is no faster than the standard 256MB Olympus Card (the one without a designation) (I timed it with a stopwatch). I was looking forward to it being faster, and the "M" card has now increased in price to $35. It would have worked the same way if I had typed 99. I feel like I overpaid for nothing, but 300 photos for $46 isn't bad, so I'll give it four stars. br>br>For more information, go to the Olympus website: ] to ensure that your camera can use this specific size and type of xD card; the C-card has a size limit of 512MB. 740.
Now I'm just going over everything again. If this is still available and you want one, it works perfectly and allows us to shoot full-speed video with our Olympus camera. Technology advances at a breakneck pace, and memory capacities continue to expand. Today, 512MB seems like a joke, but with our 3 megapixel camera, we've never even come close to filling it.
They were already formatted and ready to use when you received them. I did notice a slight improvement in the speed with which the pictures were recorded, but not as quickly as I had hoped. Maybe the problem is with my Olympus C- Camera model 7000. Also included in the package was a picture card holder with slots for six memory cards. br>br>I found the cards' packaging to be extremely difficult to open, if not downright dangerous, because the sharp edges of the plastic packaging can easily cut someone while cutting it open with scissors. As a result, instead of five stars, I have given this product four.
