For my Olympus C8080WZ, I bought this M 1GB xD card. Because more and more stores are discontinuing the xD card, I felt compelled to purchase one before they were completely phased out of the market. br>I chose M because I read somewhere that it records more video than older models such as type M. I chose 1GB over a larger capacity because my previous 4GB Compact Flash took longer to boot up and had a longer wait between shots than the 32 MB xD that came with the camera. Everything went as planned. It operates at the same speed as the original 32 MB xD, though there may be a difference in Compact Flash and xD. br>The only thing that concerned me was the compatibility issue. My camera was four years old, and the card was one of the most recent types. old. My apprehensions were unfounded; it functions perfectly. br>A 1 GB xD card has a capacity equal to 1/4 of a 4GB Compact Flash card. Even though actual frame counts will be higher, 2063 for the xD and 7740 for the Compact Flash on 1600x1200 JPG It's convenient to be able to switch between the two cards at the same time. I intend to use the xD card for photos and the Compact Flash card for video. br>I don't believe I'll need another card for the camera, and I believe I made a good purchase. I adore the camera, and I intend to keep using it until it stops working or the card dies and is no longer accessible.
Although some photographers dislike the xD format, I have found it to be very useful. The only issue I've had is with a few smaller cards that had thousands of photos on them. I suppose it's inevitable that everything wears out. I shoot with a 7-megapixel Olympus C7000 Zoom camera. 1MP), which has proven to be a fantastic pocket camera. Because I don't travel nearly as much as I used to, I take far fewer photos, and I expect this memory card to outlast my camera. It's nice to be able to take a lot of photos without quickly running out of storage space.
The card is still working fine after a couple of years.
There was no label attached to the item. It was a complete failure. There was no way to return it because there was no label. I'm at a loss for what to do.
This card is a significant improvement over the 16 MB card that came with the Fuji FinePix camera that I use it with. It's done well so far.
Since I bought my first Olympus camera many years ago, I've come to expect high quality from Olympus. Since then, I've upgraded my camera several times (all Olympus) over the years. This is a product that I wholeheartedly endorse.
There were no problems with the card, and it performed exactly as it was supposed to.
This is an excellent purchase.
