I explained what had happened, and a replacement card was sent, which works perfectly in my camera.
I must emphasize that working with the dealer was a pleasure. The Olympus picture card is defective; I've had another of these Olympus branded picture cards become corrupted (not from this dealer), most likely due to my failure to properly remove it, despite my best efforts. Before I started shooting with it, I forgot to format and initialize the new one. As a result, I misplaced some crucial photographs. Before you can use the card, you must first initialize it. It's critical! Another annoyance is that when you remove the card (properly) and reinstall it in the camera, you are presented with a warning window stating that your only options are to "power off" or "format" the card, and that you cannot save the images. This is not an issue with my Canon 5D.
This type of memory card has been in my possession for quite some time. I bought it without hesitation, expecting it to perform in the same manner as the others I'd bought. And it did both while I was taking the photos and when I went back to look at them the next day in the camera. But when I tried to download the photos to my computer a week later, I got a disc error. My one-of-a-kind photographs had vanished! Into oblivion, poof, poof, poof, poof, poof, poof, po I'm hoping to recover these photos with the help of a disc recovery company. This has left me heartbroken. I no longer believe in flash cards.
I had a "fancy" digital camera from a well-known brand, but it was having problems. g issue with locating the correct (and extremely expensive) expanded- Even the camera store did not have any memory picture cards in stock! So I went to Amazon, "found" this seller selling brand new memory cards at a great "discounted" price, and placed an order for one! It arrived in a timely manner in a well-kept package. I'm very pleased with the product, which came in a well-padded package - as well as the vendor!.
It's been added to my Olympus camera as a secondary storage device. I am pleased with the outcome.
Quite impressive.
I have two cameras that use these, and I can't seem to locate them anywhere else. br>The shipping was unable to accommodate my trip, but they will be available for whale watching in February. br>Because Olympus has discontinued the cameras, you won't be able to find them anywhere.
