Scene tagging has never been easier. takes. Because I'm not syncing separate audio like with film cameras, the clapper isn't really necessary, but it adds to the fun and nostalgia of directing a production. Scene by scene, construct your story! Now that I have this product, I'm having a lot of fun shooting any production! It works great with dry erase markers! In addition, a color template could help with color matching in editing!.
It performed as expected.
It was for a movie project that I purchased for my nephew, and I would order from your company again.
Positives include: It's a cheap clapper/slate that will help you look more professional as you work on your film. making a hobby, or semi-profession The business of professional filmmaking Non- The film buffs will not be able to distinguish between the two. In my opinion, using a real clapper/slate for sound synchronization is unbeatable. It's a good thing you can control the volume physically and hear that crisp spike in the sound. This tool satisfies that requirement. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this method. This item will most likely not withstand real-world production wear and tear, and if you aren't someone who is constantly tweaking, tightening, securing, and reinforcing their equipment, you will find this item frustrating. br>br>Because I kept this in my road cases with other equipment, the clapper disconnected from the board within a week of purchase. In my opinion, the item was not worth returning, and the problem could have been easily resolved with some epoxy. The clapper's screws will loosen over time, and you'll need to tighten them on a regular basis to keep it from falling apart while you're working. br>br>This is a hobby-oriented product. in comparison to the anti- Everything has come to an end. Ensure that you erase this item after each use, as dry erase becomes difficult to remove over time. br>br>Bottom line - If you're a self-employed person, a well-funded hobbyist who wishes to use it as a tool - It'll work out. I am a tweaker by nature, and I tend to purchase less expensive stuff because I do not mind tightening a bolt here and there or adding epoxy, etc. As your hobby grows into a business, I strongly suggest you seek a more durable product. If this isn't you, move on.
Many reviewers complained that it didn't remove dry erase markers, but I didn't have any issues.
For my shoot, it was ideal. When my friend threw it, the to clacker part broke off. however, it was simple to put back on.
Some of the edges are a little sharp, but that's to be expected for the price, and I did notice some ghosting from marks left on the board for more than a few days. This, I've discovered, is dependent on the marker you're using. When the ghosting first appeared, I was using Expo markers, but when I switched to Office Depot store brand markers, I was able to leave something written on it for a couple of weeks and there was no ghosting. br>br>The best advice is to clean it thoroughly with Windex or Expo cleaner to prevent ghosting.
It accomplishes the task at hand. It doesn't have anything special. It accomplishes the task at hand.
