There is no way this kit will work for black and white film you need to get a chem kit specifically for black and white. The only time you can use C- is when shooting color films. In black and white, if it says C-41 on the roll of film, then that is the film processing method
You can basically still use your previous device when you use a sou vide immersion circulator (search above for a definition of that term).

Selected User Reviews For Ultrafine Unicolor C-41 Powder Developer Kit (2 Liter)
As always, Unicolor products have been great photos, and this kit is also an excellent place to start if you are planning to capture color photos. It makes a difference, both professionally and recreationally, for me to take color film and photos and to print them on color paper and film since batteries are not needed in film. Also, prints on color film produce more accurate color images because one is using silver to create The chemicals used to process the films can be recycled to recover the silver. In Kodak's processing labs, 70 percent of the silver was recycled, helping them to reduce waste and keep the price of silver low.
I recommend these to anyone doing color processing at home since they last pretty much forever, and I've heard these can make images look great for a very long time. The fact that I often take 120 and 4x5 photos, and not feeling like submitting them by mail, actually saves me money when I do two runs of four 4x5 sheets versus $72 dollars if I mail them out to the USA for them to develop.
The result was excellent since it was divided in half and I processed 8 rolls of 35mm.
The user interface is very intuitive and is easy to use.
It is very good, it would be nice if it would last longer.
Thank you for the yes and thank you for the thanks.
Going through a few rolls of color Kodaks. Next week, I hope to have a chance to try this out.
