The speed that the fixer can be used depends solely on how quickly you want it to be used. A few users of I used it for over a year (under controlled conditions) and it was a success.
Stocks are what we are talking about. Pour the mixture into the 1 you will need to add more water. The ratio is 1 to 1
Sadly I do not know of any directions but you can find info online I am sure. As I mentioned previously, I've mixed 1/4 of the water it says to mix with 1/4 of the bag at a time. As long as you are a user of fixer and don't require huge amounts at once, you will be able to extend the shelf life of your mixed solution by doing this.
Providing you mix it sooner rather than later, you should be fine. Mix them together and put the resulting liquid fixer in an air-tight container A container that is tightly sealed.

Film can be made with it. I think it's quite a bit.
The way I described it.
My words are few and far between. In addition to the "classic" nature of film, one of the important factors is the chemistry involved.
The program works very well.
The old paper was lined with foil I like the new plastic package. My favorite way of working with fixer as needed is when I'm developing 4x5 films.
