The film on some 8 mm film has been dusty, and before I scan it, I want to clear Do I have a viable solution or have I gone way overboard?

You might want to start by using a soft brush like a camels hair brush to remove all the big stuff. A film cleaner and lubricant like FilmGuard could then be used. It is amazing how much can be achieved from a little effort. You will be able to scan better if your film is clean. It is best to have Cinepost clean your film and do a 2k scan if you have a lot of film to scan, as this will produce the best results from the scan. Their work is excellent and I have had a lot of 8mm and Super 8mm film scanned and cleaned by them. that, I sent the image to Davinci Resolve to do my own restoration.

Do these come in a paper package It is a type of Do you prefer ?

The material appears to be similar to Kimwipe.

There's any difference between these and the pec*pads with black packaging, right?

There are no differences between the two of them. Despite the fact that the packaging for Photosol changed a couple years ago, none of their Amazon images We will likely be providing them in the updated, black packaging if you order from us. It's The Shuttered Image of James

Can you tell if these are ?

There are no wet wipes in here. If you want to use Solar Eclipse cleaning solution, you can, but you could also use any other solution

The pads are incredibly effective at wiping dust & dirt away Clear the pictures and other objects of debris Having slides scanned in advance is highly recommended. There doesn't appear to be any lint or residue left behind. It would be a good idea to buy them as Kleenex and tissues It's not enough to use towels.
