Questions & Answers

I recently purchased a Carson 8 x 42 binocular, which I really like, but it does not come with any lens covers due to the design of the case. Are these going to be functional?

I believe they should work fine as long as the connecting ring's diameter fits snugly over the objective barrel. Because you don't want them to fall off while in use, an ish fit is ideal. These were purchased to replace the objective covers on a pair of Alpen 10x42 cameras (the originals were lost in the field one at a time). They've proven to be very effective for me.

A Zeiss Conquest HD is one of my cameras. The lens is 50 mm across when measured from end to end. Do I get a 48-hour period? 50mm or 50-millimeter ?

I'd pick the 50-percent chance. Mine was 50 as well, and I was given a 48-hour deadline. They were too small and difficult to put on and take off at 50.

I have a OD of 62. 3mm. If I buy the 60-inch version, will I get the extra stretch? 62mm?

However, there isn't a lot of stretch in these. If squeezed very tightly, 3mm might fit. It might be difficult to get them off quickly and easily when you need to. I believe it is preferable to seek out a more suitable product.

What is the depth of the hats?

They were a perfect fit for an older pair of Bushnell Explorer II 7x35 Wide Angle Binoculars' objective lens. They're a huge improvement over the binoculars' original caps. Measure the outside diameter of the objective lens in your binoculars, including the tube.

These lenses are designed to work with the Canon 12 x 36 IS III camera
5/5

You may notice that the front objective lenses on your Canon stabilized 12 x 36 IS III lack caps. br>br>These are the results. The outer lens measures 57 mm on the outside and is a perfect fit, with the inner ring easily fitting over the lens. br>br>I believe the price is low for the product, but they work, and I couldn't think of another simple option.

Granite 7x33 did not fit
3/5

I bought two objective lens covers for two different size Granite binoculars for 25% Of Cost Elsewhere. I bought two objective lens covers for two different size Granite binoculars This one, on the other hand, claims to be 7x33 compatible. An 8x42 is the other. br>br>This one came in at $24. The other came at a cost of $7. Except for the size difference, they turned out to be the same item. Neither of them had a brand name imprinted on them. So this Opticron is a waste of money in terms of value. Only the word "Opticron" was written in the box. br>br>However, it was the fact that this didn't fit that was the worst part. The rubber band part did, in fact, fit around the tube's outside. The cover, on the other hand, is too large for the Granite 7x33. It's easy to take off. br>br>So, in the end, I'd look for less expensive options. If it appears to be the same in terms of design and material, it most likely is.

Great product, but make sure to size them correctly when ordering
5/5

Excellent work!! I'd misplaced the lens covers for my Nikon 10X42 binocs, and these are ideal replacements - I'm not going to be able to get rid of them. HOWEVER - CAUTION: Do not order the same size as the lens aperture when placing your order. DO NOT ORDER THE 42MM SIZE FOR A PAIR OF 10X42 BINOS, AS THE SIZE IS DETERMINED BY THE OUTER DISTANCE OF THE BARRELS AT THE END WHERE THE FRONT LENS IS LOCATED. This was 52mm in my case. Take a look at this image: The solid part snaps over the lens while the circle slips over the end of the binoculars.

Exceptional fit – Nikon Laserforce 10x42 and Leupold Yosemite 8x30
5/5

Binoculars Leupold Yosemite 8x30: The objective OD (old binoculars that I still use a lot) was measured to be 43mm. These 42- Covers that are 44mm in diameter are ideal. Snug but simple to put on. Material of excellent quality. This was a "must" (wish I had done it sooner). These binoculars came with caps that had no attachment, so this was a "must" (wish I had done it sooner). The price initially surprised me, but after receiving these covers, I believe they are well worth the money. The attached photo shows one side with the cap on and the other side with the cap off to show the natural fall point. br>br>Nikon Laserforce 10x42 range-finder-type camera-type camera-type camera-type camera-type camera-type camera-type camera-type camera-type camera Binoculars are easy to come by if you know where to look. The calculated goal was approximately 54. The 53- Covers that were 55mm in diameter fit perfectly. I was concerned that they would be too tight, but this was not the case. They fit just as well as the previously mentioned covers. The covers for these Nikon binocs are 'plug-in'. instead of a cover, inside the objective tube' After a few uses, I discovered that, as much as I like the plug design for keeping the elements out, they never went in smoothly. It took a little fiddling and moderate pressure to get them in (one slip and your greasy fingerprint would be smushed onto the lens). These new covers are very easy to put on without any fiddling or unnecessary force, and they are sufficiently snug to prevent them from coming off. I would never have bought covers for my nice, new, and expensive Nikon binocs if I hadn't bought these covers for my Leupold binocs. But I'm glad I did it. As much as I admire the Nikon line-up, I was tired of spending 30 seconds and, perhaps more importantly, having to focus entirely on the binoculars just to secure the objective lenses.

If you're looking for a Zeiss Victory SF, don't buy it
3/5

I took a chance on these to replace the objective covers on my Zeiss Victory SF 10x42's, which are very expensive and nice. The stock objective covers were flimsy and snapped off the first time they got hung up on something. Zeiss makes world-class optics, but the objective covers were flimsy and snapped off the first time they got hung up on something. The stylized spectacle look of the Zeiss leaves only a small edge to the sight tubes for these covers to go over, as mentioned in a previous review. They appeared to work well with light and were suitable for use around the home - But the first real birding trip, with a full day of hiking, driving, and dragging the binoculars up and down and letting them dangle around my neck - that was incredible. These covers are no longer attached. I gave up after a day of attempting to save and reattach them. It's a well-made item that has a pleasant feel to it. The caps themselves remain in place, but the rings that hold them in place when the caps are removed do not. The caps' weight is sufficient to free them. For the Zeiss Victory body, this style of circular ring is simply not an option. Although the material quality is above average, I am unable to comment on its durability.

GREAT
5/5

It took me a long time to track these down. I came across some amusing eye-cups. I have a few pieces of my new ProStaff 5 12x50s that I want to make sure last as long as possible. I needed something else because the OEM protectors were "lacking. " For my 60mm O, I've finally found these. I chose the 58-mm objective lens from Objective Lenses. They are 60mm in diameter, and I will have to stretch them as expected, but they appear to be excellent. They are non-slip, have a great fit, and provide protection. br>It took HOURS of searching, but I'm so glad I found these instead of spending the money on my other option.

This is a bigger deal than it appears on the surface
3/5

42 is the number on my eyepiece. The 42/44 size has a 5mm diameter, but it falls off quickly. To keep it in place, I applied a thin layer of Lexel adhesive to the inside perimeter. br>The keeper ring isn't stretchy, and it doesn't keep my monocular in place. Furthermore, the strip between the cap and the ring is too short to pass through my adjustable eye-piece. relief. So, instead of cutting the strip at the cap, I made a longer keeper out of 60lb braided fishing line. br>Aside from those issues, this appears to be a sturdy and well-made product. made. It's almost like a silicon rubber, so it should withstand a lot of use.

Excellent quality
5/5

For my old pair of binoculars, I purchased two sizes. They fit perfectly and are made of thick rubber that is very solid, despite their high price. They'll last a long time, in my opinion. It was a pain to put on my old binocs because the covers were not attached. These are designed to fit perfectly over the lens shaft and can be quickly flipped down for viewing. It's very simple to close them again, and they're impossible to lose or misplace. I would recommend them, despite the fact that I believe they are overpriced.
