Although there are some quirks, this is a workable solution for charging two batteries overnight when using Sony camcorders. It takes just over 2 hours for brand-new NPFV70 batteries (official InfoLithium from Sony) to charge to full capacity if you select high-speed charging mode (the default setting is low you have to press the button until it says "High"). It can take up to three hours to capture a full HD video on a Sony camcorder hooked up to its AC adapter. A manual states that it would take 5 hours to complete. According to my understanding, this unit charges the first battery for about half an hour, then switches to the next one automatically, so I would expect two empty NPFV70s to be charged in about five hours- There was only one timer available, so I did it one at a time. Is there anything not to like?
1) There is a HUGE problem in that genuine Sony batteries do not fit very A SONY battery and camcorder fit together via a rail guide system, and the spring-loaded housing is positioned behind the rail system. Holds a little play with a loaded holder I tried to slide in the battery on my first attempt, but it wouldn't fit and you can't do it if you try to slide it in along its entire length. There are a lot of little plastic nubs and rails to direct the battery in and hold it securely. In order to fix this puzzle, set the battery straight down very close to the top edge, about 1/4" from where the copper connectors are located, and then push down hard and slide up as straight as you can until the cables connect. This is not an easy process for me, it usually takes me three weeks A few fittings later I think I began to shave off a little bit of material from the guide nubs and it became Removing a battery also requires enough resistance that it unseats the entire charging plate from the unit, so you should use caution when doing so. Still, at least that is relatively easy to get back into place. 2) The manual is poorly translated, so you might skip over it and miss the part about the "High" and "Low" charge settings *Three) Any number between 1% and 100% could be nailed It seems that the complete readout is not very accurate, I put in a battery at 75% on the SONY camcorder, but it said it was at 20% on the charger. it indicates that the holder is 80 percent full when it is totally empty.
This is also great because it can be used for different types of batteries and has interchangeable plates. You are right It would be necessary to buy other plates, compatible with whatever battery is already in your vehicle. However It is a great feature, AND it accelerates the charging process by two to four times as compared to charging the battery on the camera. You should note There will be a re-run soon, I'm sure There will be a decrease in charge speed. The item is in no way to blame for that There is just nothing you can do about it it's the nature of the beast. I strongly recommend you purchase this puppy! In case you have a long or large gig to do TWO for the price of one!.
Having the ability to charge two kinds of batteries and have an LED show the percentage of the batteries that are charged is much more convenient than using a small wall charger.
That was a great.
It only shows 90% or 100% when the battery has been charged (battery percentage not working properly). This is a major One of the reasons I chose this charger was because of its small size. Camcorder shuts off automatically after charging, and batteries are said to be fully charged by the camera. This is helpful because I will be using four FV70 batteries a day all day and charging at night. I'm going on a large trip and am looking forward to this feature. Upon my return, I will have it replaced. I plan to replace it on this trip.
Sony Camcorder batteries (FV50 or larger) are required to power this light. When the battery goes dead during shooting, it is a real pain. I can switch between these and keep going quickly since they fit that light. As it runs, the charging tray gets the batteries fully charged quickly.
I was very pleased with the device. Since it shuts off when both batteries have been fully charged for a few hours, I highly recommend it!.
As far as I know, this product is working as intended. It's great that different sized batteries can be used with the different plate sizes. At the moment, I change between two different sizes of batteries for a Sony PXW-A For a shoulder cam, I recommend both the Sony x70 and the larger Sony batteries. The charge is the same for all of them.
When the battery runs out, you can see when it will run out. What a great charger this is. Battery charging status is visible and you can predict when it will be full This way, there are no guesses.
