One thing I noticed after running for a spell is that it runs considerably cooler than the previous one I had, which concerned me quite a bit.
I am keeping an extra one because I have noticed that these things seem to lose life quickly when run long-term and I figured I might as well make sure I have one "just in case" the one in use fails. I gave it five out of five because it does what I paid for it to do and I hope it lasts longer than.

I noticed that the images from three or four of the cameras on my Night Owl system were getting horizontal lines. I figured the four-way power splitter must have caused it. The new power splitter I ordered has four outlets. As soon as I plugged in the fourth camera, the other three also My assumption was that the splitter was defective. After ordering a Night Owl nine way splitter, I received it the next day. My 7 cameras all worked perfectly when I plugged them into that. It is a much better image than it was previously. The equipment is made well and is of high quality.

If you have a camera system with 8 or more cameras, this is a must have product. Utilizing a single outlet allows you to run power to all of your devices. It worked for me so that my Night Owl 720p cameras no longer flickered off when the extra power consumed by their night vision was turned I was concerned that the DVR or cameras might be failing. They found out the power supply packs weren't reliable. I was able to connect my Night Owl system with 8 cameras and a DVR to one wall outlet, simplifying the power connection process.

During the night, there was a problem with the cameras disconnecting, and then the visibility was low. After purchasing this power supply, my camera is more stable and is no longer disconnecting, as well as the IR lights on the camera are working at night.

I was able to get it to work, but I have a few issues with it
1. The DVR tends to randomly reboot when the power is plugged into it. 3.
As soon as you plug in the power plug from the camera, you can see some sparks from the two ends. During the installation, it did not seem quite secure. Overall, not too satisfied by the product, but if you don't plug in the power to the DVR it works. For the DVR, I used a separate power cable.

My costco membership entitles me to the 4 camera night owl security camera dvr pack. The amount of cameras has been increased by 4. It appears that the power pack for the add on has By combining this power pack, I was able to free up 2 power plugs on my UPS. This is an excellent power pack. This is a good product to buy.
