I had no idea why today, when I turned on my camera, the on-screen message said "incompatible battery. ". Both cameras suffer from this problem. Neither battery is the problem - I have a backup and it works. I did not upgrade the firmware on my cameras either, so I'm not sure what the problem is. cleaned the contacts of the battery, but I still get the incompatible battery message. only other brand that still works is from "HY1C", but sadly it is no longer available. The other brand sounds better to me.

It has been a blessing for me to be able to film podcasts without ever worrying about running out of power, and it helps me avoid some overheating issues I've suffered with the Sony a6000 in the past. The material seems to be more durable than most. The battery gauge on the camera is inaccurate, but I don't get any errors. When I use it in my A7s II battery grip with a standard battery, it will run on AC and will not interrupt recording if I unplug it. Also, USB can be used to power those cameras. There are some people for whom a USB battery would be a better choice.
