When I'm wearing a back pack, I usually put it on first, then sling the camera around my neck or shoulder.
In National Parks, I've had a lot of success with this strap: Arches, Canyonlands, Bryce Canyon, and Zion National Parks are some of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States. It performs admirably. When using a tripod, it's very strong and simple to adjust and remove from the camera. It's one of the best purchases I've ever made. With a large lens, I wouldn't be afraid to use it. The smooth side of the neck portion allows for a swing up from a side carry, while the rubberized grabbers on the other side allow for shoulder carrying. Best wishes to you.
Even though I'm 6 feet tall, it's a good fit for me. I prefer a long strap, and this one fits perfectly on my hip when fully opened. That's ideal in my opinion.
No, the strap is equipped with grips that keep it securely in place. After a full day of wearing it with a 24-hour watch, I don't find it to be uncomfortable. My primary lens is a 70mm f/1.8.

I have a Canon 6D Mark II camera that is so heavy that I can't wear it around my neck without getting a headache - As a result, I began looking into cross-body camera straps. The issue with wearing your camera cross body is that there is frequently insufficient slack in the strap to allow you to maneuver your camera in all of the angles you desire in order to hold it up to your face. br>br>Place the Peak Design Slide strap on your wrist. It's so simple to adjust that I can wear my camera cross-body and then quickly adjust to give myself enough slack to hold the camera up to my face without having to remove the camera from the strap. Furthermore, the quick release allows me to easily remove the camera from the strap if it is hidden beneath a backpack or something else that would be inconvenient to remove in order to remove the camera strap from around me. br>br>The color is elegant, the strap appears to be made of a seatbelt, and I like how shiny it is. I was initially perplexed by the fact that the grippy section of the strap was facing up while the adjusting handles were correctly positioned, but because the grippy section of the strap is so grippy, I understand why they chose to have it facing up. br>br>Since then, I've been carrying this strap on my camera all over Asia and in my town. It's a fantastic camera strap that outperforms my previous Black Rapid strap by a significant margin. Skip the Black Rapid in favor of this one - You're going to be ecstatic.
Because my camera is smaller than a dslr, I first ordered the lite version of the peak design slide strap. The lite strap did not meet my expectations! The ends of the straps (near the camera) would bubble out, making grabbing the plastic release clip and removing the camera from the strap difficult. When I moved the camera closer to my face, the strap got in the way because of the bubbling. I sent it back and placed an order for this strap in its place. I'm glad I took the chance. The leather ends of the strap prevent the bubbling that I experienced with the lite version. This larger strap also has extra padding in the middle, which I like, and the larger size isn't too big for a mirrorless camera; it just makes the strap more comfortable. When I don't need the strap's bulk, I simply remove it! The ease with which I can remove the strap is the main reason I switched to Peak design in the first place. I highly recommend this strap, and if you have to choose between the lite and this version, go with the latter!.
Peak Design Ash Slide Camera Strap SL-SL-SL-SL-SL-SL-SL-SL-SL-SL 3 (Ash). br>br>First, I'd like to state that I don't usually write reviews, but this product was well worth the money I paid for it because of the overall feeling of well-being I experienced after purchasing and using it. br>The product arrived in Colombia very quickly, and the package was completely sealed and in perfect condition. br>br>Prior to purchasing this product, I used to get tired carrying heavy lenses and felt very uncomfortable after a few hours of walking or hiking due to the position of my old strap on my shoulder, neck, or even back. br>br>I'm blown away by this Peak Design Slide Strap for a variety of reasons, but none more so than the following:
- This strap is just right for me in terms of thickness. When carrying prime lenses, it appears to be quite wide, but the feel is ideal; I prefer this wide strap for long hikes in the mountains, where the camera does not bother you.
- The interchangeable links are ideal and extremely versatile, allowing you to quickly adjust the strap position to suit the situation and the lens/or even flash mounted. - The vertical photographing position is so much more enjoyable now, with the right link connected under the camera and the strap not interfering with the shooting, it was fantastic!
- For me, being able to quickly remove the strap is critical because I often photograph while lying on the ground, or when I'm at home, I prefer to use the camera without it. Even when using a tripod for landscape or portrait photography, the strap gets in the way of nimbly controlling the camera, so I can now easily remove and replace it.
- If I take the strap off the camera, I can use the 4th remaining peak design link (the package came with four links) to connect the strap to itself. When you disconnect the camera from the links, it's ideal for keeping the strap from falling down your neck.
- Your lens or even the camera can be stored in the strap bag. It was a perfect match for my Nikon Z6 mirrorless camera.
- You can easily move the tripod connector from the camera to the lens mount, and you can even connect it under the camera and mount the tripod plate on your lens support (as shown in my photos).
- When I take the strap off, the links maintain the camera's aesthetic and allow me to use it without difficulty.

You don't even have to take the strap off your shoulder to adjust the length of the strap; simply unlock the lock mechanism, hold your camera in one hand, and pull the strap with ease to adjust length. NOW FOR MY FAVORITE PART! br>br> br>The red Quick connect "anchors" are nothing short of epic! When they're on my camera, they're barely noticeable, and I can lock and unlock them from the strap with one hand in a matter of seconds! The days of setting the camera down, undoing the strap, having large annoying strap anchors in the way, and keeping the strap on because it's a pain to take off are long gone. blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah Everyone is aware of this! ANNOYING! br>It's almost as if it's no longer there. Thank you a lot! My T5i with Battery Grip and 18-month battery life Because of the design of this perfect strap, 135 lenses seem insignificant. My old straps used to irritate my shoulders, but not any longer!.
