Questions & Answers

Why does the camera come with only two screws? What should we do if one of our screws falls out?

You can get aftermarket screws that will work just fine. I agree that having more people participate would be beneficial. Having said that, I've never lost one.
Greg

At a formal event, do you put this over or under your suit jacket?

It'll be difficult to lift the cameras if you wear it under your jacket. The jacket is only going to get in the way. I'd either wear it under the jacket or over it, but I think it'd be too much. I'd forego the jacket entirely and instead wear it over a nice button-up, possibly with a vest, but not with a jacket. You won't be comfortable with this strap because it's a little bulky. I'm hoping everything goes well.

Are the safety tethers' snaps riveted or Chicago screwed into the leather? Thanks?

Everything appears to be riveted to me. They have a smooth finish on both sides and appear to be well-made. The leather appears to be breaking first, followed by the rivets.

Is this something that would work on a full frame camera with a flash unit attached?

I'm sure it'd work fine; just keep in mind that if you crouch down, the flash will most likely drag on the ground. I shoot with two full-frame cameras (Nikon D750 and D850) and everything works perfectly.

I wish I had purchased this years ago
5/5

Other products for three or four times the price are available, but I'm glad I chose this one because it's well-made and appears to last a long time, and I like the secure straps on both sides of the cameras. I've only used it once for a birthday party, but I'm excited to use it again for my next photo shoot. I like my chest harness as well, but I really like this Dual camera strap; I was afraid it would slip off my shoulders if I only used one, but it was actually very secure and non-evasive; a friend of mine let me borrow his single camera strap, and it was a pain to wear! Whether I'm using one or two cameras, this Dual camera strap gives me flexibility. This is a product that I strongly recommend. br>br>Update: I've used this camera strap on a couple of photo shoots and it's fantastic! It's simply very convenient and comfortable. My friend called me cheap for not buying the hold fast as soon as he did, but after doing a shoot with me and seeing the quality of the build, he felt pretty stupid for spending nearly $200 more than me.

What you pay for is exactly what you get
4/5

The letter itself is thick and pleasant to the touch. However, the clasps that come with them aren't very strong. The main anchor is snort, and it came unscrewed during my first harness session. My camera was saved, but only by a small margin, thanks to the backup strap. When the main anchor failed, the split rings that came with the harness were so thin and flimsy that they almost didn't hold my camera up. I'm not rough on my camera, and when this happened, I just gently slid it to my side before realizing the main anchor wasn't in. There's also dried glue seeping out of the anchor, which isn't a big deal but makes it look rushed. Since then, I've upgraded to more heavy-duty split rings (Home Depot had a two-pack for $2), which are much more durable and reliable. ) I've included photos of the original ring, as well as the new ring I got, before and after the fall. In the end, you get exactly what you pay for. If you're going to put your faith in this harness, you should definitely upgrade the split rings.

Harness with a lot of bling! As an example: I am a female who stands 5'4" tall and weighs 120 pounds
4/5

Harness was put to the test with a Canon full-frame camera. 100 % Sony 70 // 400 24-hour clock // 200 70mm. Advantages: br>br> The harness is extremely well-made and quite attractive. The gleaming blinginess of all the silver metal parts against the sleek black leather is part of what makes it so appealing. It has a solid, well-made feel to it. built a house It comes with all of the necessary hooks, hoops, and other components to keep your valuables safe. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. It's a bit stiff; Unfortunately, being a high-quality leather also implies stiffness. It might take some time for the material to break in and soften. As a result, it is inconvenient. It's far too long: Gear hangs too low for my height, even when adjusted to the farthest/smallest buckle hole. I considered punching more holes, but even with the belt cinched down to the shortest length, the belt ends flap around with nowhere to go, implying that I'd have to snip the ends off next. . . br>It pulls hair; My long hair is pulled back into a ponytail, but it kept getting caught in the leather folds at the strap ends. between leather and metal parts that move It's a bit of a ruckus; When all of the metal hooks and parts clink against one another, it can get a little noisy. Final thoughts: br>br> I always try to keep a low profile when carrying expensive gear for my own safety, so if you're anything like me and don't want to stand out, this is probably not for you. (However, you should give it a shot because the price is so low!) Get the harness if you like to stand out, have short hair, and are rarely worried about being mugged. It's both beautiful and enticing!.

So far, everything has gone well (black version)
5/5

Initial Review January 28, 2020br>I was a little concerned after reading several reviews that claimed the straps had broken hardware. My copy arrived yesterday, and I took a close look at it. over and over again, pulling and tugging to see if anything looked sloppy. It appears to be in good working order, but the spring-loaded hooks that attach the harness to the camera have been changed by the manufacturer. I'm hoping the new ones will last as long as the old ones did. br>br>I looked at some other harnesses that were significantly more expensive, and I suppose if I were a professional who needed to wear a harness like this for a full day, perhaps several times per month, I would opt for the top of the line version. However, photography is merely a pastime for me, and I may only use it once a month. br>br>It is well-fitting and comfortable for me. It appears to be well-made and constructed of sturdy materials. br>br>Even with a hot shoe speedlight attached, my camera and lens combination weighs between 2 and 2 1/2 pounds. That isn't a particularly heavy load for this harness, which could easily handle two 5-pound setups. br>br>If anything changes, I'll be sure to update my review.

Surprisingly good, in my opinion
4/5

The high quality of this strap pleasantly surprised me. With portrait photography, it's a game changer. I don't have to put down my camera to adjust the lighting or pose my subjects anymore. The strap is a little off-kilter. Because I only shoot with one body (full frame, 70-200mm) in the studio, I have to maintain a weight balance. Despite the fact that it is only a 200mm lens, it is still fully functional. I don't see the point in spending hundreds of dollars on a strap from another seller - This is ideal for my requirements.

Two cameras fit perfectly
5/5

I almost always have at least two cameras with me. This was the answer to both of my problems. The first is a result of the discomfort caused by neck straps. The second was a blunder on my part with a wrist strap that slipped and shattered a lens. br>br>With this harness, I can leave one camera hanging while using both hands to operate the other. br>br>I check the screws at the bottom of cameras before, during, and after use out of my own paranoia. They've survived three photo shoots and a hike so far.

This harness is absolutely fantastic
5/5

After having a custom harness made on Etsy and disliking it, I tried this harness. This was an investment that paid off handsomely. I am a 6' tall woman who uses the smallest setting on this harness and absolutely loves it. It's comfortable enough to wear all day while photographing a wedding. The small hooks on the safety tethers are the only aspect of this harness that appears to be of low quality: br>br> It's a bit difficult to open and close them. But I suppose that makes them even safer! lolbr>br>This harness comes highly recommended!.
