As shown in the illustration. Only one side of the ring terminals for power and ground.
I previously purchased this item, and it is not true to size! It is actually a 4 gauge with extremely thick insulation. I was fortunate enough to come across a bunch of really nice amp power wires at our local junkyard. However, my expedition required a longer run.

We bought five competing 4 gauge CCA 4 Amp Installation Kits from Amazon to compare them to our two CCA wire lines. After testing seven kits, we ranked them based on conductor size and total value. The minimum number of reviews required for this review was 1200, and the item had to be a PRIME item. new br> br>At the time of purchase, the SKAR kit was one of the more affordable options (the lowest being the KnuKonceptz Bassik 4 Gauge Kit). Unfortunately, the Skar Audio battery/ground wire has the group's second smallest conductor area. The conductor area is calculated by measuring the fine strands in each cable and confirming accuracy with several strands per cable. After you've determined the strand diameter, you'll need to calculate the strand Actual Strand Diameter is calculated by multiplying the area by the total number of strands in the cable (yes, we counted those tiny strands). 19mm. The rope configuration of the cable was 69x7, with a total of 483 Strands. Because it's only 6 gauge, it loses a star.
It's exactly what it says on the tin: an amp wiring kit. The RCA cables are thin and unlikely to be of any use. The remote amp turn-on wire that comes with it is a complete waste of time. It's so thin that it literally pulls apart when you try to strip it, and there's no way to know whether to put a spade connector on the end or wrap bare wire, so I ended up using a piece of the included cheap speaker cable as a turn on wire. br>br>Another thing to note is that while the amp kit works and will get you by, you might want to spend the extra $30. Spend $50 and get something of value, as all of the wiring in this kit is CCA rather than pure ofc. In the end, it works, and the fuse that comes with it is a nice touch. However, if I were to buy it again, I would most likely get something better and will eventually replace it with something better as time passes.
When I went to have my system installed, they informed me that the power cord was not even the correct gauge. They demonstrated the difference, and it was significant. They sent me what appeared to be a 4 gauge wire, smh. br>I would have returned this if they hadn't used the other wires that were included in the package. smh.
This is an acceptable setup. I used it to connect a 1200W amp, and the wires are simple to route and attractive. Only a few people believe I had to deduct stars. First and foremost, you do not receive everything you require, despite the fact that this is a kit that should include everything. Fortunately, this was not my first installation, and I had parts from previous name-brand kits on hand. Under the hood, you'll need a wire loom to protect the wires, as well as two fork 4 AWG connectors for wire to amp. Last but not least, the fuse holder mounting hardware. Even if it's not a long list, it should include the essentials to save time and prevent you from having to go to the store to buy something you don't have. The RCA cables, which are on the cheap side, have a bad connection attachment to the RCA jack where the wire meets the RCA jack, and one of them was crackling when moved. So they're useless, but I've already installed the majority of the kit, so I can't return them or exchange them for another set.
I'd heard good things about Skar, and I'd seen a lot of people talking about their subwoofers and such, so I figured I'd give it a try. This is the kit for you if you want a "4 gauge" kit that is really around an 8 gauge power and ground. No, I didn't put it in my truck, but I did compare the wire sizes: the actual copper part of my 4 gauge kit (almost $200) is as thick as the wire and insulation in this Skar kit. This kit comes with nothing but the bare essentials. I stripped a strand of the remote turn-on wire, and I'm guessing there aren't more than seven strands in there. Both power and ground were shorter than advertised in my case. When placing an order for a longer vehicle, keep this in mind.
In most situations, this is adequate for the majority of people. The ground wire, on the other hand, is extremely short and could never be used in anything other than a trunk or floor vehicle installation, for example; it is far too short for any marine, utv, or other application. There aren't enough ring terminals given to you. Furthermore, the terminals are designed to work with a range of 0 to 100. They're 2 gauge, so they don't crimp well with the 4 gauge provided.
That's all I've got to say on the subject. The power and ground cable that came with this kit was nice and I haven't had any issues with it so far, but I couldn't get the remote wire to strip even with three different sets of wire strippers. It simply stretches on the outside, and when you finally get it to strip, it takes 3/4 of the copper wire with it. When I first pulled out the supplied RCA cable, it appeared to be nice and flexible, but after using it for my front speakers, my tweeters had a loud hiss when the amp was turned on, and a constant, less loud but still noticeable, hiss at low volumes. Since replacing the RCA cable with an "Amazon Basics," there hasn't been a hiss. The speaker wire appeared to be adequate, but I chose to use speaker wire I already had on hand rather than the kit's, so I can't comment on it. I'd recommend this if you don't have sensitive tweeters and already have wire to run your remote wire without the one included in the kit, but if neither of those factors apply, I'd probably look elsewhere.
The components were of good quality, which I appreciated. Also, the price was right on the money. I used the first to connect my JBL GT- BASSPRO12 is an acronym for "Bass Pro 12. " I liked it so much that I bought a second one to use with my BOSS Riot R3002 to power two Pioneer TS-80 speakers. A1670F 6. Front speakers with a power rating of 320 watts each. The clarity is unrivaled and unsurpassed. The standard of excellence is self-evident.
