Questions & Answers

The beads in this picture look like ferrite split beads. What is the mix? When do they work best? When do they work best?

There is no way to know what mix you will receive, so I ordered 10 from DX Engineer for my LMR400 cable. It cost a lot more but you will know what mix you will receive.

Can you tell me how big the inner diameter on the 7mm is? Here is a keyboard warrior tip for you Caliper measurements are those made with the help of The description is easy to read. ?

My dear colleague, it's time for the caliper. The inner diameter of the or is 7mm. It is 275591 inches in length. The answer is 25 when divided by 7mm. In addition to 4, you will receive There are 275591 inches in that measurement.

Can you tell me where these are made?

On the item or on the box it doesn't say. There is a great deal of quality in them. My guess is that there is a bar code and a couple of small Asian symbols on the package.

Is it possible to use these on roof-mounted antennas? There is a small airport near where I live, and airplanes constantly mess up my TV image. I am unsure how to fix this issue. ?

Your TV signal would not reach your set due to these obstacles. It's reflections from the airplane mixing with your direct signal that are causing the problem for you. It may be a good idea to place a metal plate 5 feet above the antenna, but it would look awful.

These products do what they claim to do
5/5

What it does is what it should do. My headphones line as well as the line into my PC were free of humming. For me to open the filter and securely clamp it shut, I had no need to use anything special. Those click when you completely close them. I did it by hand. As long as they are not forced, they will not slide. There are no signs of weakness.

This cable is perfect for XLR / Microphone cables
5/5

Beads such as these are excellent for reducing noise and hum from machinery. There may be interference picked up by my microphones at times. A set of earplugs is a must for me when I go into the field.

As soon as you open it, it is simple to install
5/5

Due to the sealed lock tabs that are shipped with these Ferrite Core filters, they are difficult to open. You need a tiny screwdriver to unsnap the first side and use a fingernail to hold it open as you open the second side. As soon as the second side is open, the screws snap back to their original positions.

When I played games on my PC speakers, I noticed a lot of static/buzzing noise
4/5

There was a lot of static/buzzing noise coming from my PC speakers, especially when I was My onboard audio seemed to be picking up interference from my video card, which is why the static noise tripled when running anything graphics intensive. Adding these to my audio cable greatly reduced the noise. It did not completely eliminate it (I still hear some noise) but it was drastically reduced. When the volume is 70%, there is no buzzing audible. It is usually half the volume that I listen to. The end result was that I bought a good quality dedicated sound card, which was able to eliminate all noise interference for me.

Be sure to check the sizes before you place your order
4/5

An overview of the situation As a ham radio operator, I enjoy running 35- and 40-meter ham bands This generates enough stray RF to illuminate my caps lock LED and cause various peripherals to disconnect or malfunction while I transmit at 100W. Without ferrite beads at both ends of the connections, my computer lights up and various peripherals malfunction. As far as my aluminum 27" iMac is concerned, it is in great shape. You're all alone. My computer is a USB 2. 0-compatible model, so I ordered these ferrite beads because they are advertised as being USB-sized. They are 3mm in diameter, and that should have been my first thought. The plates fit nicely on micro and mini USB cables, which I have a few, but unfortunately they're too small for the ordinary USB cable I have. break out the calipers for some serious measuring and place an order for There is no difference between these beads and those that are intended to be permanently attached, although you can remove them if you so choose. A wide range of prongs hold the beads firmly against the cables, and they snap securely closed when not in use. Unless you make these snaps poorly, they should last a long time and provide a great deal of reuse on different cables. They can be undone with a fingernail or jeweler's screwdriver. As a result, you should probably leave the ferrite beads in place since they are fairly inexpensive.

It is a great tool for removing static electricity
5/5

I got rid of the annoying static that would occur every time my cell phone was close to my desk speakers thanks to these. Those problems are now behind us! Using the YouTube directions as a guide, I snapped them on to the wires right at the base of the speaker.

This is a good value for the price
4/5

The ones that come on your devices aren't the heavy weight ones. These are light weight and work just fine. Something is wrong in my amplifier for the rest of the time, so I still have noise coming through my speakers.

They fit tightly around cables, but when you use pliers to secure them, they work very well
4/5

Here's an update Here are the steps I took to install them Put pliers to use. To begin with, I tried closing them on the wire with my hands, but I could not get them closed. Pliers solve this problem. As soon as it is opened - The wires are held in place by two small latches (with a pocket knife), and getting them closed once more is a challenge. They are tight on the wire of the average cable, however, if you use pliers to squeeze them closed, they work fine. You are warning Being gentle with the magnets is important since there is a possibility of breaking them doing this.
