Initially, they do the job well. As of now, I have three. My 5-meter line comes out of the glove box, so I keep it there and use a 3-meter line. DAC/phone is connected to it via a 5 extension cable. In my case, I needed to have the Echo Auto utilize its three pins directly as it is the one device that, if used directly, requires its own pins. The Echo Auto is engineered poorly enough for me to hear engine noise. If Amazon engineering had done a better job, like Apple, the Echo Auto would not have made anything of a noise. A third party Lightning to 3 adaptor or a $5 adaptor is an alternative to the $5 adaptor. The Lightning to USB adapter that Apple provides for charging my iPhone with the Apple Lightning DAC I also have, or the more expensive high-end USB DAC I sometimes use in my car If this had not been an issue, it would have been no concern. There is no noise at all in any of those! This is not the case with the Echo Auto. I have fixed the problem with this.

It works wonders. Trying to update my car to have Bluetooth worked but since I was using the car charger to power my Bluetooth device, I kept getting engine noise transmitted through the car charger and then through the Bluetooth device into my auxiliary port. This device isolates the car noise coming from the auxiliary port. There are already noise filters on radios, but they are not on car chargers, but this product overcomes that issue.

The new stereo in my car was installed by my husband, then he installed the satellite radio (a separate unit) that feeds through It was so annoying when my satellite radio or Alexa played through the speakers that the radio would whine and crackle with this high pitch whine. Not expecting this to fix it, I tried it anyway. We placed the satellite radio in the car with a separate receiver and display (the display is on the dash and the receiver is under the dish), so we placed it in the car with the display. You can see this line under the dash between the antenna and display. Worked like a charm!.
