Following the installation of a new amplifier in my car, I heard a bad low static noise coming from my speakers. Even with the RCA cables unplugged from the stereo, I was able to isolate the problem to the RCA cables picking up signal after the head unit. The RCA cables were upgraded to twisted high quality wires, which minimized some of the noise, but it was still quite My next effort was to add a noise filter to the power supply, but this did not improve the situation at all. A ground loop isolator was attached to the RCA cables at the amp input and it actually made the sound worse than before. In the end, ferrite clips proved to be the most effective. The first thing I did was clip them on to the power supply cords and make a loop with the wire, but that didn't help much. When I tried the same method with the RCA cable, all static noise that had been coming from the amp was gone instantly! Several large 13mm rings come with this kit, and they fit easily over insulated RCA loops. The 9mm was used on the 10 gauge amp power supply the smaller 3mm was used on the 6 gauge power supply It worked well to attach the power wires to the head unit with 5mm rings. The little magnets do work and are a great value for the price.

They were bought so I could use them with a USB cable between a Mac pro and an HF HAM radio. I am not sure what kind of ferrite material is used to make these You need to pay attention to it Yet they didn't seem to have any effect.

Upon connecting my external speakers to my computer, I was listening to Christian rock radio. I have nothing against Christian rock, but listening to rock music 24/7 while working at home does not help me focus on my work or sleep well. Thus, I found out about ferrite rings, ordered them, clipped one onto the aux wire in less than 30 seconds, and there was no problem. There is no rock music coming out of my speakers anymore. RF interference can be eliminated by using these. I cannot recommend them enough.

This may sound complicated, but I have decoded the setup and no longer hear interference hiss on the cords after I put these bad boys on them.

A random pixelation problem on the TV was fixed by snipping some wire around the power cord. Uverse tech gave up after trying to adjust signals levels, trace grounds, tweak gains, etc. for four hours. Before calling for help, try one of these ferrite beads.
